    Appreciate you taking the time to make this video. I just bought one as well. All in all I have been very impressed with Wen tools.

    Just bought this, because is cheap and I’m just playing with wood at the moment. Your video covered all the questions I had. Thank you!

    My first wen tool was their drywall sander and 5 years later and countless skim and tape jobs later its still a beast. Technically there is a safety since the trigger will not work until the nose is depressed. (Hah, you addressed that later.) Nice review.

    What would be a good compresser to use with this? New to air tools. Great video! Thanks!

    • @NorthwestCraftsman
      @NorthwestCraftsman  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! And great question! It depends how much you plan to use it in one go. If you’re a commercial shop and you’re going to use this thing non stop, you’ll want a larger compressor with higher CFM. If you’re like me and periodically use it, a small compressor is fine.
      Honestly, my compressor is overkill for this thing, I think a pancake would to fine. That being said, there are other air tools that require much more volume (HVLP Sprayer).
      Do you need to run any other tools? Or just this guy?

      @@NorthwestCraftsman thanks for the reply. Just this tool. I'm rehabbing a house and inadvertently bought this tool vs. an electric nailer. Now I'm trying to decide if I want to return this and get electric or get a cheap compressor. I'm be using it for all new trim in the house.

    • @NorthwestCraftsman
      @NorthwestCraftsman  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think you’d be fine getting a small compressor and using this. It doesn’t consume a ton of air and an air compressor has more versatility than an electric nailer.

    I bought one but I did know I need an air hose too.

    • @NorthwestCraftsman
      @NorthwestCraftsman  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ah yes, it’s not one of the self contained nailers. If you need a hose, I’ve really liked this one below.

      I didn't know I need a hose either. I can see one end of the hose connect to the gun, what does the other end connect too? If it's not to an outlet, then this is useless since I don't have anything else. Was hoping to do my trim work project today.

    • @gillespie280
      @gillespie280 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@chanthana7694so you’ll need an air compressor. You can get a small 3 gallon pancake compressor from harbor freight for under 75 dollars. It’s also a good thing to have on hand

    I bought one but mine came in a carry case. Not sure why yours didn’t. I’ve only used it twice but for some reason I can’t get the adjustment dial to turn. Not sure what’s going on with that.

    • @NorthwestCraftsman
      @NorthwestCraftsman  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Huh! Well that’s nice that yours came with a case. I’m sure it’s just changes on the manufacturing line. No biggie.
      For your adjustment knob, that’s odd. Have you tried it in both directions? I’m wondering if it’s jammed to one side or the other.

    • @whatfreedom7
      @whatfreedom7 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@NorthwestCraftsman I checked it again and it was just completely stuck. Wouldn’t move either direction. I finally turned it hard and it broke loose so idk maybe it started to rust or ran too far. Anyway it finally freed up and moves fine once it broke loose. I put a drop of oil on it and ran it back and forth so hopefully it won’t do it again.

    Isn’t the depth supposed to be just slightly below the surface so you can fill the hole with some glue and sawdust and make it look as if it is not there? That’s my newbie thinking... 🤷🏻‍♂️

    • @NorthwestCraftsman
      @NorthwestCraftsman  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You're totally right, I was a little new to the brad nailer when I made this but you're right, I generally recess the heads slightly to allow for wood filler or the like. To your other comment, I've been pretty impressed with them as well.
