She is telling a story with "The Other Side" about someone dreaming of just living and not worrying about anything. It's not about being a gold digger... At the beginning of the song she talks about how she's has a job and goes to work and gotta pay this and that. Thinking about living "the life" is not worldly. Everybody thinks about what they would do if they were rich.

@@salviadavis9091 His whole demeanor rubbed me the wrong way. He came in not liking her so there was bias. He didn't listen to the words at all, or pay attention to the concept of the project. He also just seemed to be more interested in the singer that was more physically attractive to him. Serious lack of depth... but he's young. Hopefully he'll learn.

THIS! -- I try not to get vexed when people don't understand that Jazmine writes songs from a storytellers POV. It's like, duh, we know she's rich. The perspective of the person in the song is NOT. It's something a LOT of people can relate to seeing people on IG living "on the other side".
