    I can at least understand a dress code when entering the school or walking on the campus, but there's no need for one when they drop off or pick up kids. Parents kick their kids out of the car or let their kids into their car and dip.

    • @Royalsprincess1
      @Royalsprincess1 5 ปีที่แล้ว +26

      I agree you walk into the building you should follow same dress as students but to do drop off or pickup when you stay in car the entire time you should be able to just do whatever as long as it is civilian decent by law

    • @MsCammy22
      @MsCammy22 5 ปีที่แล้ว +18

      If you’re in a car I guess it doesn’t matter right? I’m sure this dress code applies to when the adult can be visibly seen by other faculty and students standing on campus, not sitting in the car waiting to pick up their kid.

      You also don't wear a see-through shirt with nothing underneath it to school, either.

      @aznmochibunny 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      As a person living in a west coast state, we do wear swimsuits at school, because it is a requirement to learn to swim. I went to a school in a beach community. Lots of kids who had PE in the morning during the swim semester would just wear their swimsuits underneath their regular clothes and change out. It was no big deal at all.

    • @1234OTAKUANIME
      @1234OTAKUANIME 5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@aznmochibunny No, you all have the swimsuits hidden under your clothes. You didn't go throughout the school day with nothing but swimsuits on. Two completely different things and obviously not what the principal meant.

    • @aznmochibunny
      @aznmochibunny 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@1234OTAKUANIME Not everyone had their swimsuits completely hidden. Once again, as a beach culture school, some guys would wear their swim trunks as actual shorts to school on a daily basis. And some girls who had those bikini tops that tied at the neck. The administration had no issues with either.

    • @LaCrownedGamer
      @LaCrownedGamer 5 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      I think it's about when you walk onto campus. Dropping off your kids and staying in the vehicle doesn't seem to be her intent. It's more about parent teacher conferences, open house, etc.
      I went to a middle and high school where parents dressed in any fashion. We had a mom come in completely in lingerie once, and had two dad get into a fist fight for wearing the wrong colors and gang attire.
      I agree with her motives because I have seen what happens when you give 0 guidelines. As a principal you never assume.

    My pops came to my school onetime for school night, dressed in his rockstar attire, while walking into the school like he owned the place. It was embarrassing.
    I walked in ahead of him to give everyone in my classroom a fair warning... (hesitantly announcing) "My dad is here... This is my dad."

      I think they're the kind of people who dislike standards, expectations, and structure in their lives. They take "you do you" and "so long as it's not hurting anybody" to the extreme without realizing that certain actions have consequences even if they believe its no one's business.

    I support the principal. School is a place that prepares students for the workforce. Parents and children alike should be expected to dress appropriately on campus. It's not hard to wear something appropriate to school just to drop off or pick up the kids. To do the opposite is flat out laziness and sends the message that it's okay to wear inappropriately revealing clothes at school and other places where it'd be unacceptable.
    I know the younger generation and my own try so hard to get rid of standards, expectation, and structure as a way of rebellion but there is a time and place for everything. You can wear anything you want off campus, in your own home or outdoors, but it's not hard at all to dress properly on campus even if it is to just pick up or drop off a kid. Set an example and have some decency.
