    Nice video and thanks for posting! I don’t understand all the criticisms in the comments. Doesn’t matter to me if the bike was disassembled and then reassemble, or not. It is still a build and it is sweet setup. Just waiting for my S-Works frame to come in so I can begin my build (been painful collecting parts this last year). Half the fun for me was spec’ing out the components to my liking. My build will be a Shimano drive train, Shimano brakes, Fox suspension and Fox dropper, with some Race Face, Ergon and Wolf Tooth mixed in.

    I started assembling my s-works SJ EVO frame tonight. I just popped the fork in to mark where to cut my steerer tube, but I used some phil wood grease when putting the headset cups into the frame? Should I wipe it out and use carbon paste like you did? I read conflicting things online, as usual. I’m picking up some finish line fiber grip tomorrow, as that’s what I could get right away to install my handlebar. Thank you!

    • @worldofmtb
      @worldofmtb  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Matthew :). Grease goes on the headset cups. Carbon paste goes where carbon is clamped. For example between handlebar and stem ;).

    Why the seatpost shim? What´s the point of having a 34.9 frame if you shim it anyway?

    • @worldofmtb
      @worldofmtb  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      because for the bikes with the lower spec, you can get seatposts with 34,9mm diameter

    @TAZMON20 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Looking at the raw carbon finish on the Specialized it just looks amateurish when compared to the the work of Unno, Hope and Antidote, their attention to detail with regards to lay-up and finish just looks superior.

    • @edmontoncouple1562
      @edmontoncouple1562 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      that design was deliberate they wanted it to look RAW. so i think it boil down to the person's interest but honestly as a ex fiberglass tech ( building yachts, speed boats, others) i love that RAW look.

    • @Phlizz
      @Phlizz 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      All those brands add a, if you want „unecessary“ layer of cross woven carbon for the looks. Specialized chose to show the raw unidirectional material, which is actually a pretty honest approach, like raw steel, titanium or aluminum frames.

    Richtig geiles Bike.
    Was ich aber nicht verstehen kann:
    WIE KANN MAN BEI SOLCH EINEM BIKE OHNE DREHMOMENTSCHLÜSSEL ARBEITEN?
    An solchen Teilen wie Bremsen, Tretlager usw. Sollte sowas immer eingesetzt werden. Nicht nur am Lenker!
    Sorry, aber sowas finde ich etwas unprofessional.

    • @worldofmtb
      @worldofmtb  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Wir arbeiten natürlich immer bei allen vorgeschriebenen Schrauben mit Drehmoment. Dies bei jeder Verwendung einzufilmen bzw. reinzuschneiden, würde aber das Video zu lange werden lassen. Wir versuchen aber die Arbeit mit dem richtigen Werkzeug immer exemplarisch ins Video zu integrieren. Hier eben die Arbeit am Lenker. Danke für den Input!

    • @thoan5336
      @thoan5336 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@worldofmtb wenn dem so ist, ist alles gut.
      Wenn man aber sieht, mit wie viel Kraft der Kollege Bremssattel, Kurbel, usw. anzieht, vermittelt es nicht den Eindruck, dass die Bauteile mit Drehmoment angezogen wurden 😉
      Lockerer anziehen und anschließend einblenden, das selbstverständlich alle Schrauben mit vorgeschriebenen Drehmoment nachgezogen wurden.
      Dann würden solche misstrauische Menschen wie ich direkt gebremst 😂😂

      Bro it’s just a rebuild of the stock bike there’s no “dream components” on this build ofc the axis is but that Bike comes just like you saw it build from the shop lol he just took it all apart, removed the grease from the factory and re grewased everything again while putting it back together !! Like cmon it’s obvious he used the Specialized branded handlebar, the stock tubeless valves from Specialized which suck btw 😅

    13,600 euros in reais (Brazil) = 89,456.35, recently I bought a kawasaki Z1000R for 65,200 reais (BR) I would never pay that price on a bike, no matter how wonderful it is, bike prices are higher than bikes, surreal that 👎🏼
