    Thank you for posting this excellent informational video! It helped us with planning our cruise on the Ruby Princess out of the Port of Galveston. We stayed at the Harbor House Hotel & Marina and enjoyed our stay there and also took advantage of the shuttle to the cruise ship terminal on embarkation day. We did receive a phone call from the hotel prior to leaving for Galveston from the hotel asking if we would need to utilize a shuttle and they reserved a spot for us at that time. Also had dinner at Willie G's and it was excellent! Thanks again and Happy Cruising!

    Solid video. I lived in Houston about 20 years ago, am well aware of the traffic issues and constant construction there. I'm sure it's even worse now!
    I've been reading that Uber reached an agreement with Port of Galveston. Do you know anything about that?
    And if I can make one critique, it's that your sound is a little quiet. Not saying you should raise your voice, but maybe you can boost your mic level when recording or editing the video?

    • @TrippingTexans
      @TrippingTexans  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, the traffic is definitely a bear most of the time even when it's pretty smooth...LOL!! The site still says Lyft is the only one, but updates may not have been made. I haven't heard anything about it though. And, yes and thanks for the critique. It was a little low and I'm becoming more mindful of it in future videos. Thanks for watching!!

    • @TrippingTexans
      @TrippingTexans  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, there are two. We haven't received anything directly from Princess regarding parking. We chose Port of Galveston's garage across from the main terminal where Carnival usually docks. I suspect/expect Princess to go out of the terminal next to it where Royal use to go out of. Though this is a Sunday embarkation and I don't thinks Carnival does Sundays, it could very well sail from the main terminal that day. Either way it will be one of those two terminals.

Maybe you can answer this question: my partner is mobility challenged and cannot walk long distances. Technically you park in the lots across the street from the hotel (it's really close as the street isn't a major road) on embarkation day, or you can move it over there the night before if you choose. You pay the hotel for the parking, it was about 60 bucks plus tax for our 4 day sailing.

However if you are cruising Royal or choose the econo lots A and B, there is a shuttle provided for passengers and luggage.
