  • With funding through ARPA-E's DAYS program, the team at Antora Energy has developed a groundbreaking way to store renewable energy from wind and solar as heat within blocks of solid carbon, and release that heat or electricity to industrial customers on-demand.
ARPA-E recently joined the Antora team at their manufacturing facility in San Jose, California, their thermophotovoltaic clean lab in Sunnyvale, California, as well as their field demo outside of Fresno, California to learn about how their 'hot box o' rocks' technology could be the next big thing in long-duration energy storage.
If successful, Antora could deliver low-cost power to industry anywhere "the wind blows and the sun shines," using technology built right here in the United States.
