Mingüeza is not good enough as a fullback. Not fast and athletic enough to run up and down for 90 mins, which is vital for a team that wants and has to dominate the ball. They need a player in that position who is much more physically talented.
Mingüeza has been god awful when called oppon this season to say the least . He has no awareness of his opponent and looses concentration more often then not. I had my hopes up when he arrived to the first team in the winter last season, but he haven't show the required level to play for us regularly. Now he plays more out of necessity, we simply are lacking in that area, and Dest seams to be out in the cold with Xavi. Thankfully we have Alves who put on a masterclass in his "debut" today, that be it against a third tier team. In the summer this must be a priority! if nothing changes until then.
Borussia Dortmund would be an interesting one with the scenario of Haaland leaving and using that money to reinvest and where. As Defence is key area of improvement needed.
I remember Barca fans went mental when we sold Grimaldo, the majority expressing how idiotic this was and now he is a sensible transfer back haha Bartomeu didnt just sign stupid, he also sold stupid
Dybala on a free seems like something Barca would consider (a left footed Argentinian who likes to come in from the right side to play between the lines, is a free kick specialist and doesn’t track back) seems like the perfect match
We don't have a tailor made spot for anyone apart from Messi, and that's because Messi used to do much much for us than non-fans give him credit for. Dybala at Barca would sink within a few games. Don't need him. If he was that good, he'd have scored more goals and provided more assists.
I would also say that they need a new center back. Pique is getting old. Also, Aruajo is a great option, but I think with umtiti seeming to be leaving in January they require a back-up. That is why I think Mathias Ginter would be a great option for depth in the squad and even a potential starting player. He is having a tough season but is one of the best and most consistent CB in the Bundesliga. In addition, with him having an outrunning contract in the summer, I would personally love to see him at Barcelona.
Just FYI from a native English speaker, you can't use "outrunning" in that context. Outrunning is when you run faster than someone - you'd say his contract is running out in this case. But an interesting suggestion - I'll be looking out for this Ginter :)
Galan is an excellent backup option but therein lies the problem. Looking for backup is largely responsible for the financial situation, Barça finds itself in. Grimaldo is the best option to succeed Alba tactically, statistically & financially. Galan has 4yrs left on his Celta contract. Grimaldo's is up in the summer.
"Wide Attacker/Centre Forward" They've already signed Ferran Torres who can play both those positions, they're also in for Alvaro Morata who plays at Centre Forward
I think Nicolas Tagliafico is a good option for multiple teams this window. Available for a pretty cheap fee (under 10 million €), he’s proven in the Champions League and Argentina national team. Solid defensively and picked up some attacking footballing skills Ajax. Why shouldn’t teams try to get him for a small fee?
I'd love one for Liverpool. Centre forward, left winger and a creative midfielder positions are to be strengthened. Either in the form of a direct replacement, or as a long term option.
It seems Tifo has only watched Julian Álvarez this season if they think he's not versatile. Gallardo (River's brilliant coach) has helped Álvarez develop gradually. With not little options and competition for the central striker role, he played Álvarez for several seasons in different positions, either as a ten or as a wide attacker (both on the left and the right) in order for him to gain experience and learn more skills and attributes so he could become a more complete attacker once the previous first choice strikers would leave the club. And that's exactly why he played so well this season scoring so many goals and being important for the team in other aspects, not just scoring. He IS very versatile.
Right? I thought it was shocking they said he isn’t versatile. If anything that is one of his main and best characteristics, his versatility and intelligence. He can play anywhere in a frontline for a 4-3-3 and operates everywhere in and around the box. That’s almost as crazy as saying Messi is an average dribbler
Although I agree with the majority of this video, as a season ticket holder I can tell you that Memphis is not good enough, so you are wrong there. Also, Barca are in desperate need of a new right back, dest is no way near good enough and mingueza is even worse....
Yeah, Memphis is nowhere near good enough. Holds the ball for way too long and seems to have an errant first touch as well. They also don't mention Abde, Gavi or Nico at all. I think Abde especially could replace Dembele if he gets his head up and passes better, or scores more. Our starting lineup should be Abde Ferran and Ansu
@@nihalmehmood4494 couldn't agree more. I think you hit the nail on the head, I think Abde is erratic and have some reservations about naming him a starter, but he has strong potential.
@@ihaveadream3321 I don't have the time or patience to explain to someone who does not watch my club, that Memphis simply isn't good enough. He doesn't press, slows down attacks and loses the ball frequently. He may be a good player, but he appears to think he's better than he really is. And he's not a good fit stylistically. We expected him to step up in the absence of big stars, but he has disappeared in many games. Maybe it's a confidence thing, idk.
What’s happening with Dest? I really rate him but he doesn’t seem to get a run of games, surely playing Araujo beside him is enough to cover for his lack of positioning no??
What about tagliafico for the left back position? Apparently Ajax is willing to sell (driving down his price), he has experience on the highest level (champions league) and is attackingly minded
I feel that Rashford would be the best option for Barcelona . He can play wide and as a center forward physically capable of playing both flanks and with one year left in his contract Could be a fine acquisition if done properly
But he’s not particularly good, and would cost an absolute ton given his pedigree and wages and the fact he’s be coming from a club with no desire to sell. Would be 70m+, but there are so many wingers who are better who’d cost less
I see Adama Traore coming back to be an attacking reference, specially if you consider the physical condition of most Barcelona players who spend half of the season in the nursery
3 ปีที่แล้ว +1
At LB, I believe that Gaya with a 1 year left on contract and the knowledge Alemany has…probably will end up being the one who is signed in the summer.
Anyone else here think Eric Garcia can't defend? I mean ya he can pass but one on one and positionally he's terrible. Also given the fact he's small and weak, he wouldn't stand a chance against a strong face forward like Lukaku or Mbappe
5-2 humiliation against Leicester, 3-1 shock against Lyon, all these games had one common defender: Eric Garcia. Bro gets destroyed against direct counter-attacking physical side with aireal threat. He should change his position to dm cuz his distribution is pretty good.
For a club that has been in so much financial trouble and has been so badly run, my advice would be for them to not sign anyone. I was amazed when they picked up Ferran Torres for over 55 million euros, so it'd seem that they've not learnt anything from their previous crisis.
"so it'd seem that they've not learnt anything from their previous crisis", it's not that Barcelona needs to learn but it's you who isn't fully aware of the situation. Writing the same bs narrative spread by the English media.
The issue with our transfers wasn't a lot of spending it was stupid spending. Even setting aside transfer fees ludicrous wages are a huge problem, an over-reliance on previous years (Messi, Xavi, Iniesta, Pique, Alba, etc) for results and revenue without smart replacements in mind, virtually cutting La Masia out of the equation (we could've easily filled our team with squad players for depth from the academy but relied to much on the transfer market), and a lack of values/discipline (being more than a club, focusing on what kind of playstyle to use, making sure player power doesn't run rampant, etc.) 2000-2012 were probably Barca's best years but they also had big signings. We were linked with Beckham before signing Ronaldinho, we signed Tiery Henry, we signed Eto, we signed Zlatan, we signed Dani Alves, etc. +Suarez, Neymar, Ivan Rakitic, and Ter Stegen coming in later years were also great signings. The problem was that after Laporta left, the academy was no longer relied upon and once his successor left and Bartomeo stepped up the signings were utterly braindead with terrible players being brought it for no reason (Braithwaite, Malcom, Pjanic, etc) and massive wages were thrown to players who never deserved them (Frankie and Dembele may have been talented when we brought them in but 200k per week each is compeltely stupid) and the board started betting on the fact that since Barcelona was so marketable they could throw money all over the place which proved to be unsustainable when Covid hit. They were on course to hit their financial goals but the pandemic utterly crippled their plans.
Regarding jose gaya's transfer, less chance Valencia would charge high fees for him. His contract ends in 2023, so in the coming summer transfer window there would only be 1 year left in his contract, so they will be forced to sell gaya, or either renew him which is not likely as Matheiu Alemany, current sporting director of barca has good relation with gaya and I think alemany previously worked at valencia. Also valencia need to bring in cash in order to meet ffp, so barca could easily get a quality player like gaya cheaply.
I agree. Also, "Valencia would be loath to sell a priced asset"? Valencia very often sell their more valuable players, and many of those sales have actually been to Barcelona. The only reason I doubt Barca will sign him at the moment is he would be expensive and they can't afford him right now. And it's possible other clubs will sign him soon, which would be unfortunate for Barcelona, since he really is a perfect fit to replace Alba.
@@TheNormalJuan that is also possible, but considering the spanish nationals in barca, and also I think he also loves to play for barca, even if valencia finds other suitors, gaya have to agree, hope that doesn't happens
@@ShadowTerrakion lol, what a stupid comment. How can you say he has no mentality for a bigger club, when he never played outside of Benfica in the first place?
@@saptaccrvima3563 That is exactly the point. He’s been in the Portuguese league for 6 years and kept renewing his contract whenever barca were interested in him including 18/19. You clearly are dense and don’t know the sport, but that’s a red flag. Also, his defensive numbers have always been very poor - even in a league outside the top 5
Sensible Transfers: Liverpool - Liverpool has a lot of players that are getting old with the likes of sadio mané, salah, van djik, matip, henderson, thiago, milner and would really like to see what transfers you recommend :)
Please do Milan! We need a centre back desperately as Kjaer is out for the rest of the season, AFCON cover in midfield, a new (under 35) striker, and competition on the right side of attack
Well written. Squad in need of rebuild and not a lot of funds available. Yet, we are linked with Morata. Gaya would be ideal if we can get him and maybe swap Dest for Mazraoui in the summer
Andreas Christensen has been linked with Barcelona, he would fit perfectly As a centre defender he is so good on the ball, and can play a defensive midfield as well. Busquets is now 33yo and with Christensen you get a transferfree, good defensive player with good passing ability that can back up Busquets in the midfield. Christensen I think is about to hit his prime, so he could be a good backbone player for the next great Barcelona team, maybe even captain down the line, cause he is a really good lockerroom guy too.
@@saysn680 The video is called sensible transfers not "Football Manager fantasy transfers" Good luck paying yourself out of a Van Dijk or De ligt transfer!! Christensen at 25 yo has been a valued member of the defending CL-winners and semifinal euro2020 Denmark squad. I'd say that you get a sensible transfer paying chelsea 0 euros for him!!
Coming thru Dutch glasses but Onana, Mazraoui, Azpillicueta, Thiago Silva,, Van De Beek, Wijnaldum, Bergwijn and Neres are all up for grabes due to their contract or playing time situations, so could financially be reachable for Barca in current state.
Hold up, no CB or RB recommendations? I think a CB like Christensen at Chelsea could be a great partner for Araujo and also would work brilliantly whenever Xavi shifts to a back 3. He'd potentially be available on a free transfer and he's someone Barca have been a long time admirer of. At RB Mazraoui is probably the laziest suggestion, but a great option who I'd honestly be looking at if I were at Barca is Trippier. He seems eager to leave Atleti, he still has loads of quality. He isn't an offensive fullback and I think that his defensive qualities would bring some much needed balance to our defense kinda like how Abidal used to do when Alves was super attacking on the right flank. Now we could have Alba/Grimaldi/Gaya being super attacking on the left while Trippier provides more cover on the right so the defense is less stretched. Also I don't think it'd be that difficult to convince Trippier to join Barca, he also comes with the added advantage of being able to play at a decent level at LB as he is quite versatile. Finally, I'll give a bonus suggestion. Now this one would depend on Barca shifting Coutinho, Umtiti and Dembele their top 3 earners. But should they be able to do that, then a great option for Barca at ST would be Benficas Darwin Nunez. He's basically an Alvaro Morata (a player Xavi is reportedly eager to sign) who is clinical in front of goal, doesn't get caught offside so much and is versatile enough to play out wide. A Fati-Darwin-Torres front three would effectively churn out Pornhub content every match day. Those are the other 2 players I'd throw in as sensible signings plus my bonus 'what if?" sensible signing.
to be honest, I believe we are more desperate to let player go rather than singning. you guys are on point tho, with ferran now signed (waiting for him to be signed to the league to be able to play) we are only needing a left back and maybe a right back if dest ends up leaving
@@justinusjulius5007 but he doesn't stay wide. He liked to come in like neymar. And Xavi likes wide wingers and Antony although is pacy enough. Adama Coman and dembele are more pacier. I’ll tell you this, for all the backroom and financial issues they aren’t nearly as bad as most people say right now, on the field. I mean they really should have made the CL knockout round and thus I’m pretty confident saying they are a top 16 team I’m Europe. Like right now. Which isn’t good enough for Barca of course but people acting like they are Arsenal or something...
Too slow I feel in some places. And defensively not ok. But fine... They're not that bad. But on recent from Arsenal is playing better. Not to mention Barcelona is struggling to make it to the top 4 in La Liga itself... So yeah I think they're not good enough at all right now man
Pretty disappointed that we’ve lost faith in Dest, he added a lot to the attack, and although he didn’t provide a great defensive block, he was able to create and maintain possession, not better than Dani Alves though, so there you go.
How about sensible transfers for teams outside of the top five leagues of Europe; Seattle Sounders (MLS), SC Bengaluru (India I League), Trabzonspor (Turkish Super League) and Halmstads BK (Swedish Allsvenskan).

Dybala on a free seems like something Barca would consider (a left footed Argentinian who likes to come in from the right side to play between the lines, is a free kick specialist and doesn’t track back) seems like the perfect match
He’ll most likely renew
We don't have a tailor made spot for anyone apart from Messi, and that's because Messi used to do much much for us than non-fans give him credit for.
Dybala at Barca would sink within a few games. Don't need him. If he was that good, he'd have scored more goals and provided more assists.
They wouldn't be able to register him 😂
Waiting for Arsenal's sensible transfers and detailing on potential strikers.
Yes!!
Imagine the suggesting Vlahovic 😂😂😂😂
A striker
I don't even see Pique as getting old so much as progressively decomposing
Am I the only one who thinks Javi Galan would be an excellent pick for the backup LB spot?
Underrated baller I tell you
thank god there's atleast one person who thinks this is plausible, everyone i said this to thought i was going mental
@@john-adriancoker2789 Grimaldo on a pre-contract would be an astute piece of business for Barca
The fact he could of went to Leeds for 3 million is crazy

Memphis - Torres - Fati
Gayà?

"Wide Attacker/Centre Forward"
They've already signed Ferran Torres who can play both those positions, they're also in for Alvaro Morata who plays at Centre Forward
Ferran Torres who they can't even register now
and they can't even register him for the league yet!
Did you watch the video before commenting? They mentioned Ferran.
Morata is hopeless
This is a very wonderful series, this channel makes me understand ball in a unique way
Same here man
Es verdad!
Thank you for this video. I was about to request for it, but I didn't even have to say it. Brilliant video.
Didn't fiorentina just sign ikone though...?
@@nihalmehmood4494 completely agree
I'm amazed you didn't give enough attention to the defense. That entire back line in a clown show apart from araujo
What’s happening with Dest? I really rate him but he doesn’t seem to get a run of games, surely playing Araujo beside him is enough to cover for his lack of positioning no??
I have missed this so much.Thank you guys
Barca's not exactly solid on the right back either. Dest is still adapting, Mingueza is not as reliable as last season, and Roberto is injured.
Wasn’t Dest on the transferlist? I heard something like that a month ago right after Xavi assessed his squad for the first time
Also Mingueza is CB and Roberto is CM. They've signed back Alves, but he is more of a mentor and ocasional plaster, than real option.
We're getting Mazraoui on free this summer
@@Ascarona still a speculation, but I think it will be assessed in the summer, not now.
@@misterblue3514 I literally forgot about Alves lmfao.
What about tagliafico for the left back position? Apparently Ajax is willing to sell (driving down his price), he has experience on the highest level (champions league) and is attackingly minded
WOW! Finally it's here!
Love you Tifo!
Visca Barca!
2 months later, Barca seem to be collecting the pieces, and Xavi is playing Barca/Cruyff/Guardiola style football. Love to see it.
3:00 - he's signed for Fiorentina already
this video was probably made before he signed
I feel that Rashford would be the best option for Barcelona . He can play wide and as a center forward physically capable of playing both flanks and with one year left in his contract
Could be a fine acquisition if done properly
But he’s not particularly good, and would cost an absolute ton given his pedigree and wages and the fact he’s be coming from a club with no desire to sell.
Would be 70m+, but there are so many wingers who are better who’d cost less
I see Adama Traore coming back to be an attacking reference, specially if you consider the physical condition of most Barcelona players who spend half of the season in the nursery
He's trash. Barca obsessed with City bench warmers.
5-2 humiliation against Leicester, 3-1 shock against Lyon, all these games had one common defender: Eric Garcia. Bro gets destroyed against direct counter-attacking physical side with aireal threat. He should change his position to dm cuz his distribution is pretty good.
He had a slow start, but he's been really good for us of late. Better than Lenglet or Umtiti by far.

God, I love this series!
For a club that has been in so much financial trouble and has been so badly run, my advice would be for them to not sign anyone. I was amazed when they picked up Ferran Torres for over 55 million euros, so it'd seem that they've not learnt anything from their previous crisis.
Torres took a paycut to join Barcelona. Plus Barca will pay those 55m in 4 instalments.
Think they are having issues signing him on though as the wage bill is still to high

BEEN WAITING FOR THIS! THANK YOU!
Barcelona needed this video about 6 years ago
Gracias por el contenido que nos aportas!!
We seriously need to consider signing back Grimaldo. Man's familiar to La Masia as well. Why not?
He’s been linked for a few seasons now, and even he’s said he considers Barcelona his home. It’s a no brainer imo
He's poor defensively and doesn't have the mentality for a bigger club. The fact that he's 26 and still no club has gone for him says it all
Why you guys so obsessed with signing back former academy players?
@@ShadowTerrakion lol, what a stupid comment. How can you say he has no mentality for a bigger club, when he never played outside of Benfica in the first place?
@@saptaccrvima3563 That is exactly the point. He’s been in the Portuguese league for 6 years and kept renewing his contract whenever barca were interested in him including 18/19. You clearly are dense and don’t know the sport, but that’s a red flag. Also, his defensive numbers have always been very poor - even in a league outside the top 5

Well written. Squad in need of rebuild and not a lot of funds available. Yet, we are linked with Morata. Gaya would be ideal if we can get him and maybe swap Dest for Mazraoui in the summer
There are reports around saying that barca are only €300M Euros in debt.
Muy buen vídeo 👌👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Andreas Christensen has been linked with Barcelona, he would fit perfectly As a centre defender he is so good on the ball, and can play a defensive midfield as well. Busquets is now 33yo and with Christensen you get a transferfree, good defensive player with good passing ability that can back up Busquets in the midfield. Christensen I think is about to hit his prime, so he could be a good backbone player for the next great Barcelona team, maybe even captain down the line, cause he is a really good lockerroom guy too.
Good luck throwing wages to a mediocre CB

I’ll tell you this, for all the backroom and financial issues they aren’t nearly as bad as most people say right now, on the field. I mean they really should have made the CL knockout round and thus I’m pretty confident saying they are a top 16 team I’m Europe. Like right now.
