Awesome video! loved the door tap that fit perfect to the beat 🤣😂👌🔥 - I guess whoop contests got a lot easier/cheaper to to participate with all the lighter and better out of the box builds. Looking forward to HDZ coming out with a lighter vtx/build 😉
You fly amazing. always impressed. Nice crash reel too. Thx for that, because I crash...a lot! I see they have an Air75 on their web site too right now for $94.99 too! Guess they listened to you and Nick asking for one!
If you do get a chance to get the Freestyle version, i can highly recommend it. It has just as much power (pretty much) as the higher kv variant, but it gets a good 30s longer flight times
I take a few weeks break from FPV and when I come back Heads is flying 65s, not crashing into drywall, and "BEST BIND AND FLY-ing" - FPV IS DEAD lol awesome video man - cant wait to see the 75 air. Overdue for a proper 75 BNF
This will be my first drone, I read there is no ELRS receiver, should I buy it separately? (and how to mount it?) I also need goggles and the radio transmitter, will the VR02 + lite radio 2 from BETAFPV be enough or should I buy the VR03 + lite radio 3? Thanks 🙏🏻
There is a version with an ELRS receiver attached, it just isn't built into the flight controller. If you need to get one separately, they do sell elrs receivers (rx) for very cheap. Look up "elrs ep2 receiver". The VR02 goggles should work with it just fine. Although please note, these are very inexpensive goggles and the picture quality might be lacking from what you've seen on YT. As for the Literadios, either one should work, but again these are very inexpensive items and may lead to a poor experience. I hope this helps. If you have Discord, feel free to join ours and get helps and suggestions from all of us over there.
Have an off topic question if you please: AIO FC on my 1S micro drone burned out. Bought BetaFPV F4 1S 5A AIO - do I have to tune something on it or just replace FC? The original drone was prebuilt and ready, so I'm not too sure what is the way to deal wit hit. Will appreciate some help from whoop god.
What battery life do you get? Unfortunately I'm getting only 2:00 min flight time with it showing ~ 150 mAh used. I'm wondering if sth is wrong with my unit.
would you agree with albert kim that we should stick to the freestyle version when we want to fly freestyle? it seems you only have the race version, but maybe you have an opinion about it nevertheless.
I don't do a whole lot of 65mm freestyle these days, but yea, I'd assume you don't need a whole hell of a lot of kv to have fun freestyling this thing. The 23000kv seems it'd be fine. And get a bit more flight time.
@@InfinityLoops thank you for the advice! I did a bit more research and it seems that the skyzone cobra sd is a very good option for its price might go with that one instead and also the air 75 with tbs since i already have a tango 2
Hi from Montreal, Canada 🍁 Since you release your review, did you suggest presets for the 65air ?? Chriss Rosser 65 mm filter presets or his 65 mm tuning presets ??
Hey there! I only tried the Karate preset on it. I ended up flashing it to Quicksilver firmware and using their 65mm 1s preset, which is very nice. I would imagine the Chris Rosser one is pretty good.
@@InfinityLoops Thanks for your feedback !! Did you know a good tutorial for quicksilver ?? The only one I found was made 2 years ago. The stock angle of the camera it's really too much.
19 g with the aio5 on a 65mm is still pretty heavy imo but it's a load better than the 20+g on previous hdzero whoops. Id stick the aio5 in a 75mm. Its literally perfect for that size
Yes! This FC on the build is receiver-less. They add a ELRS rx on before shipping. You would just need to desolder the elrs one and add your spectrum rx. Should be fairly simple
Arrows go forward...😈 That's clearly a tail sir. I love building so BNFs aren't really my thing but I am intrigued by the diamond AIO and I just might pick up the freestyle version. What I'd like to know is what you think about the Lava folded batteries.
Hi just ordered one I was wondering if I could use bigger lipos like (Tattu 450mAh 3.8V 75C 1S)? its my first drone so id prefer a bit more fly time even if it means less performances :) thanks
@@InfinityLoops got you ! thanks a lot for the answer :) love your vids 👍 also you talked about the angle of the camera being a bit high.. is there any way to lower it further without breaking the canopy ?
@poorchild yes, but it's annoying haha. You can get longer canopy screws and lift the back canopy mount up, put a taller rubber grommet there and use a taller screw on only the back to tilt it forward more. Better option, imo, is just to buy a canopy like the beebrain V2 or something with a lower angle, but that's still very strong
So if you had to pic heads would you go with the freestyle or the race? It seems backwards to me i thought usually racers used a slightly lower kv and higher kv for freestyle
Most racers use pretty spicy KV. Some of them barely get a full minute of flight time! 😱 Personally, I'd probably be OK with the freestyle one. Having all that power is cool, but pretty unnecessary for me. Likely expect longer flights too
@InfinityLoops makes sense when i swapped to 702s on my whoops instead of 802s I've only flown higher kvs around 26.5kv to 32.5 kv so it might ne worth it to get the smaller kv and try it, and off course with your affiliate link lol
Always appreciate the support 🙏 Yea man, if you've already tried out the higher kv, give the lower stuff a shot. At the very least, just to say that you did 🤘
Can you describe the flight characteristics between 65 Original, 65 Pro and 65 Air. So to make an better decision. I have already Meteor 75 Pro and Meteor 75 2019
I have to take it apart and weigh eveything. The elrs version is larger, but you're subtracting wires, shrink wrap, elrs rx, and double sided tape. I'll get a teardown going and try to remember to come back and edit this comment
We're you trying to say you have a lightweight weenie? 🤪 Which do you like better, the Air65 or the Mobula6 2024? Thanks for answering this and making this very nice video for us! Liked! 😎🤘 PS Air75 on their website... Same price!
I think for now I would go with the Air65. It is lighter, cheaper, and personally i think the tune is better out-of-the-box. I'll have to get back to you on the lightweight weenie thing 🙃

@@InfinityLoops i was looking air75 actually and found your video. Thought of getting one tiny whoop for indoor freestyle, not sure is it lots of different between 65 and 75
For indoors, it seems to be a personal preference. Some find 75s hard to handle in small spaces and prefer them for outdoor. I only fly 75mm, I'll try the 65s for reviews, but that's it usually.
I really really really want this thing for racing, but Chris Rosser's video said that the VTX is WAYYY over-transmitting. Any chance you tested the output?
I really like your channel. At the beginning of my FPV hobby in 2023, not so much because of the comic video filter you used ? I think you're a very good pilot of small quads. I realky love some of your latest videos. But in recent 2 videos I noticed that you present the FPV cam DVR from 4:3 here in the video stretched to 16:9. I have to say it makes me dizzy. Please just set a filter in the editor for this recording that stretches the image from 16:9 to 4:3. Normally this isn't necessary but somehow your video editor seems to recognize it as 16:9 or DVR records it with that flag. But I'm 100% sure that the C03 is a 4:3 cam.
@@InfinityLoops Yes, OK, there are actually people who like a stretched image from 4:3 to 16:9. Can't your glasses switch between 4:3 and 16:3 or do you really prefer it that way ? Personally, I prefer the undistorted image, it's more natural...
Good job with this one BetaFPV!

Great review and flight. 75 would be nice to see, I’m still having a hard time trying to get into 65. Thanks for the show and tell.

Usually yes, you need to tune new FCs. If you're not feeling comfortable with tuning, you can try some presets in Betaflight.
What battery life do you get? Unfortunately I'm getting only 2:00 min flight time with it showing ~ 150 mAh used. I'm wondering if sth is wrong with my unit.
I mentioned flight times I got around the 5:30 minute mark in the video. 2-2:30 minutes on average.
Is it also possible to install a tbs crossfire (for example the nano rx) on there instead of the elrs receiver?
Yes

Is it now a BNF or does the RX need to be purchased separately?
The bnf does come with a ELRS rx installed.
