Early 2016 In real life (I race karts) I was in a field of 23 karts and I was midfield in this particular race from a random grid draw, I knew that the person behind me was a dangerous driver and expected anything to happen over the start line, as expected into the first corner (this corner is fast) he had his foot down while his kart was pressed up right agaisnt the back of mine so he was using me as a brake so he didn't fall behind me, this caused me to lose my rear grip so my rear slid out so I was in an oversteer situation, I managed to counter steer myself out of spinning and having 10 karts ontop of me, what I am trying to say here is another tip is to know who is around you and what their driving style is like, if you can do that you will be much more prepared for accidents that could happen.
I race karts .There was a corner where I was going to overtake ,but after the corner he tried to defend his position .There was another corner and I was going to lose grip and crash , but somehow I turned the steering wheel and I did a “drift” so I overtake him .I realized that I used the power slide
VERY useful video. Thank you:D I will try to stress the opponent from behind. But maybe it will be hard because i cant steer as precise because my steerig wheel cant turn over 100 degrees:D
Man, that Gran Turismo 3 arcade menu theme just made me get nostalgic.Your videos are amazing, but when you put any GT related theme, it makes it even more special!Keep up the good work!
I'll give you a tip for drifting. Put a glass of water in your cup holder and try not to spill it while listening Eurobeat. You need to feel the power of Eurobeat and professional ドリフト・サムライ.
Thanks for the great tips. I'm happy to say I figured out most of this on my own, but it's nice to have my theories confirmed by someone with more experience and expertise. I'd love to see a video on the basics of car setups. For instance, if the car is doing this, you can adjust this or this and this will be the pros and cons of that change. Thanks again and keep up the great work!
The third drift mode it can be useful in specific situation, most in rallies when the tyres cannot have a good grip (ice, mud...) and you need to keep high RPM.
i know it's just a light joke but yea grammar is more important-spelling doesn't matter but what truly matters is to be sympathetic to others and be understanding as long as thier heart and their mind are in the right place.
Great video! A lot of amazing tips. The thing about drifting though is i wouldn neccessarily call it oversteer. Drifting is very complicated and utilizes the grip capabilities of all 4 tires on the road. Proper drifting utilizes a lot of grip and is actually more of a balance between oversteer and UNDERsteer. Many drift cars especially higher horsepower amd higher level drift cars are actually tuned to understeer. Utilizing a well balanced setup and proper driving skills to push the grip threshold, drifting can be accomplished.
For me I'm a good mix with patient and aggressive however I'm generally an aggressive driver and on tracks like the Norschliefe I'm not going to sit around behind someone who is half a second slower after 3 corners
I wonder why Project Cars (and a lot of others racing games) doesn't include rules for crashing drivers, so sad to see either online or the IA bumping on you intentionally and going without any punishment...
Anthony Clein Plus when they bump you or they bump you while you reverse your car, they will scored you as "Disqualified" this gives me a huge headache and scratching my head for no reason
I enjoyed that GT3 music at the start (: you have an incredible channel, literally a stockpile of any simracing info you'll ever need. You deserve so many more subscribers, thanks a lot!
There is another reason for me to use the manual gearbox: it helps me to find the right speed in the corners. Example: I drive down a long straight. i know the next corner i have to brake down to the 4th gear, middle rpm. the next corner i need to shift back to gear 2, high rpm. i use this additional to the brake-marks on and beside the track. I liked the part about the oversteer the most. i use that when i take a corner a bit too fast. close the throttle, a bit more steering and violá: the car has the right speed again. but i have to admit that is going wrong sometimes and i end up in the dirt. Great Videos, keep up the good work! How about "How to track"? I mean a video where you explain some difficult tracks and how to drive them properly. I could help you as an actor for the part "how not to drive this track"...
Just got into Forza 6.learnt alot from u guys on youtube. realised how much fun these sim racers are. Always played from gran turismo ps1 days with kiddy assists on. Am ashamed.😔
nice video! and tnx for the nostalgia by putting a Ferrari Challenge trofeo pirelli OST at 7:53 :,) such a good game for PS2, I keep wondering why it flopped out....
12:10 The fault actually lies with the car on the outside. The driver we watched didn't rub his car against the other driver, the other drive tried to close the gap when the driver we watched had already taken a fair inside advantage.
I watched a few of your videos and think, that you know, what you are talking about. I´m watching the cars behaviour in such a detail as you do and came to the same results;)
I have heavy right foot, part of it is that I can't really feel the acceleration effect therefore I always thought that I could or it should be accelerating faster than what is presented.
for the drifting you need to be aware of: the speed you're carrying the angle of the slide how you want to manage it No need to go flat-out all the time to keep the rear out, same goes for the countersteer , you just need the right amount of each to keep a smooth drift [whether you abuse the power with the e-brake, dive with the brakes while shifting the weight accordingly or apply the pendulum technique]
a lot of my friends deem my GT6 tunes undrivable due to how uncontrollable my cars become. Being able to break later than usual and still maintain speed, or bring able to change lines mid corner is a key factor in my strategy
Subbed! Great videos dude. Keep up the good work. As for your next video, how about a guide on the basics of car setups for different race tracks? An easy-to-follow guide for people like me, who know absolutely nothing about even just the very basics of car setups.
Dwayne Van Horrik Nope, restarted the race three times, another for forgetting to refuel (yeah, how stupid can one be, LOL), one for crashing, loosing my right front tire and blowing up the engine while trying to get back to the pit and the last one because of my nephew cutting the power to the PS4 (when in rest mode, I leave games/apps active because of no save feature in the game...). Currently only have to complete 7 hours and 16 minutes, but it has been a long two weeks, so please don't forget to refuel, hahaha. Hope you have lots of fun playing the game!!!
Great video, it's really informative. BTW, the background music is from Test Drive Unlimited? If my ears serves me right. Man, it was a good relaxing racing game with ridiculous physics. 10/10 for video content & background music.
i'm no an expert but in the case of video-games the classic drift is usefull even for speed since you can pass any high angled curve (like a 180° one) with high speed and arrive at the end of the curve with the perfect position to continue on the track
1+ sub bro. i really like your video. btw could you make tips and advice to race in oval track, its very hard for me. thx before. and sorry for my bad english
I had a battle on the Nordschleife with a Formula A vs another Formula A, i tried my best to drive fast and precise, but he keeps ramming me using as a barrier for breaking, then he wait for me so i can overtake him and then in the next corner the same situation, it takes the fun away. I´m a beginner, but i´m trying my best to improve my skills and to respect other drivers. Nice videos btw.
I have to say, these tips must be working, 'cos in the last two days I got two race wins (from 2 starts) and a pole position in GT Sport. Edit: I retract my previous statements, 'cos I have been having a shocker of late. Nearly spun at a GR4 race at Suzuka and retired from an outer loop MX-5 race.
Thanks for all the videos. I am learning a lot. Before this I always used the standard setup of each car and all asissts. After seeing a few videos yesterday I turned of all of my asissts except the racing line and automatic gearbox. With the videos I watched tonight I will turn these off to. But I have one question, how do you know when to shift and how do you know which gear you will need to shift back to? If someone will help me with this I am very happy
It's something natural. While racing you have to *listen your engine* like in real life when you drive through the traffic. When you hear the engine is reving too high, you upshift, when it's too low you downshift. The game HUD helps you even more. My advice is to test a slow car alone in an oval track and keep practicing with upshifts and downshifts (brake and accelerate from 1st to 6th gear and from 6th to 1st). Then repeat the same test with a faster car in that same oval track. When you feel you're ready, pick again the slower car you drove before, and test it alone in a normal track with a lot of corners. At the end it's just a question of practice. I gave you the right way, now it's your turn to test! Remember: be patient! ;-)
viperconcept Thanks for your help. Because i dont have DLC i didnt have an oval to race on but I used a short track on Dubai. Right now it is going quite well so i have another question. Are there racing wheels with shifter which i can use both on PS as on PC? Now i am using a pad becaue I played FIFA a lot but I want to race with a wheel. I am planning to buy the new PS for when i move out and I am playing on PC at the home of my mother. So is there a wheel I can use for both so I dont have to buy 2 wheels? If so, can you give me a good suggestion?
You have the Logitech *G29* with shifter (sold apart) or the Thrustmaster *T300* RS with clutch/shifter bundle or (if you're rich) the *T500*. All these models are PS4 and PC compatible.
I am new on pcars, and i play with a pad, it is hard, i don't use assists. I thought it would be easy as Forza or Fórmula 1 2015 are haha. Whatever, i am still using no assists, but i am improving my pace, i finished 2nd Twice and third once ( i bought the game 4 days ago). Your tips are very good. Greetings from Brazil
I've noticed that your g29 is clipping at some points while turning. In the telemetry hud your yellow line (top left side) stops at the middle or top. It means that ffb on steering wheel becomes linear. You may like it, but its a bit unrealistic, and it may not give you all information about the road. Btw very nice video once again ;D
I use the default setup for the steering wheel. Btw the informations about the road may vary depending on the car you're driving (light or heavy) and on the track (with or without bumps/holes). However, if you have a realisting steering setting to give me, I would be happy to try it. ^^
Im using g29 on pc, and tbh I only decreased ffb strenght to 85 and set tire force at 50. Basically, if you want higher ffb you should lower tire force and vice versa. I hope this can help you ;)
the part with the gearbox is completely wrong. with your short shifts the engines goes down to 6k rpm where as with the auto gearbox (shifting just shy of the limiter) it goes down to about 7k wich puts you straight in the happy zone. in regards to the first video, the move with letting your opponwnt overtake is called a witchback and it does not really work like that unless he's on the brakes too late. the way you do it is you go in wide and try a late-ish apex so you can get on the throttle faster. the part about the steering, especially your example at the ring, is quite off too. in your vid explanation you turn in way way way too soon thus making the apex about 50m long. not to mention the expertly demonstrated understeering at the previous corner. that corner is a classic example of late apex and slingshot to through the next corner. the thing with the laptimes needing to be close is a very good point but it will not workout like that except if you are driving sprint races where you don't get to lap people.
Great vid, but there was one thing that I couldn't make out of the vid. Can't you just use both racing types at the same time. For example there is a race in monza and you start at the back but you know that you are faster than most of the cars, then you have to be a more agressive driver. But when you are against people who are just a little bit slower than, or as fast as, you are then you have to be the more passive driver (providing the race is long enough).
SIR Viper!! I have just bought my g29 and assetto as projet cars i woukd love to know what steeri g wheel option i need (so tgat i dont have to turn my wheel all the way for the understeer to stop
Забавно, когда ты, из NFS, находишь видео из хардкорной тусовки у себя в рекомендованных) Жаль, у меня нету стимуляторов. С радостью применил бы Ваши советы на практике.
I have a question , how do i drift on project cars using the manual overdrive also , i am stuck on tje first mision of the campaing because i dont understand the objective , i never win that race. Need help pls Pd : i play on pc
i wish there were more players like you online, challenging but also fair drivers. i find allot of drivers will deliberately ram you and spin you.off the track. kind of takes the fun out of it. i only race online with my mates because of this reason
Thanks for the tips, i only play Real Racing 3 on my phone and keep failing follows my own racing line and crashing other player even know they only TSM
I hate playing with a controller cause you either have 100% steering lock or none so its a real pain in the ass when the car wobbles on the braking or oversteers
I'm not a pro, but I like to drift. So in racing games when I feel that my car is going to spin out (or I lost control of it) - I just basically drift. Sorry for my English, I'm not a native speaker.
Wow, this situation in a race in real life... I imagine extreme levels of adrenaline. XD
I race karts .There was a corner where I was going to overtake ,but after the corner he tried to defend his position .There was another corner and I was going to lose grip and crash , but somehow I turned the steering wheel and I did a “drift” so I overtake him .I realized that I used the power slide
Thanks for putting in old school Gran Turismo music in your videos . I takes me back to my childhood.
Those were the days man GT2 GT3 good times.
The opening music reminded me of Burnout, which remains my favorite racing game of all time, with second place going to Project CARS
8:57 that was pretty skilled!

Hey are you getting GT Sport?
Can i race with you? are you on Ps4
+Ryan Galang Well if u want but i was talking to Viper
+Ryan Galang cool i just got online so ill add u. And yea as soon as GTSport hits tge shelves im trading in Project cars
Psychological pressure is just genius.

My God the overtake from Piquet, what an amazing move, one of the best in history!!!

Thumbs up for putting in Gerhard Berger back in his Ferrari days, certainly didn't expect that : )
Nelson Piquet's overtakes was insane!

welcome to gran turismo sport then! personally i got penalty for reason i bought a game

Thank you a lot! ^^
Damn, both parts were insightful and informative. Good job dude.
The only races I'm less stressed in are endurance since I can take my time to overtake and if I do mistakes I can still try to catch up
0:14 I love that song of choice. Slipstream (Isamaru Ohira) is such a catchy song that I'm glad it was used in the Gran Turismo 3 Official Soundtrack.
Proudly can say ive been doing sum of this stuff without being taught
12:32 TDU Soundtrack! I LOVE IT!

+viperconcept Great!
Thanks for sharing your strategies/tips, was very helpful!
keep up the videos man. you
sir have helped me become a better driver

nice video! and tnx for the nostalgia by putting a Ferrari Challenge trofeo pirelli OST at 7:53 :,) such a good game for PS2, I keep wondering why it flopped out....
after watch both parts of this video.. Bam! instant subs for you man..

The fault actually lies with the car on the outside. The driver we watched didn't rub his car against the other driver, the other drive tried to close the gap when the driver we watched had already taken a fair inside advantage.

9:25 I remember this music...
Ferrari challenge customisation theme
I have heavy right foot, part of it is that I can't really feel the acceleration effect therefore I always thought that I could or it should be accelerating faster than what is presented.
for the drifting you need to be aware of:
the speed you're carrying
the angle of the slide
how you want to manage it
No need to go flat-out all the time to keep the rear out, same goes for the countersteer , you just need the right amount of each to keep a smooth drift [whether you abuse the power with the e-brake, dive with the brakes while shifting the weight accordingly or apply the pendulum technique]
Hearing that Gran Turismo 3 menu music made my day!
this channel is pure gold
a lot of my friends deem my GT6 tunes undrivable due to how uncontrollable my cars become. Being able to break later than usual and still maintain speed, or bring able to change lines mid corner is a key factor in my strategy
I love the refferences of the musics on your videos

2:56 Initial D Ryosuke v.s Kyoiichi!
Love your videos, alot of fair and usefull advice 💪
was performed by Nelson Piquet, the car he overtakes was Ayrton Senna´s, and he gives the finger to him while oversteering
maybe some tips for endurance races? anyway great video as always! keep up the good work!
Mmh... ok: I'll put it in the list as "pro" section. ;-)
+viperconcept thank you for taking advice from your viewers and for your response!
Got a great tip, don't forget to refuel! Happened to me on lap 231 and 16 hours in on the 24 hours of Le Mans...... Sigh
+Tim Lemmens wow i bet you put the game away for a while.. that's fckd up!
Dude awesome content...
I bought a Multilaser driving wheel to start playing racing cars after I saw your videos

I am pretty sure that the song used at 9:27 is from a ps2 game called Ferrari challenge

Vinícius Anacleto the name of the game Is Pcars?

2:24 that’s true but what if it was unexpected?
I've noticed that your g29 is clipping at some points while turning. In the telemetry hud your yellow line (top left side) stops at the middle or top. +viperconcept I noticed the clipping as well. Try these G29 settings also if you're interested...

Go down 2 gears at a time(if H-box), engine braking it a time chopper!
Thank you man, very usefull and it ecourages me to get out my steer wheel )
I tried manual transmission, absolutely shit at it (lol), I'll try again when I get a wheel or want to try again.
the part with the gearbox is completely wrong. with your short shifts the engines goes down to 6k rpm where as with the auto gearbox (shifting just shy of the limiter) it goes down to about 7k wich puts you straight in the happy zone. in regards to the first video, the move with letting your opponwnt overtake is called a witchback and it does not really work like that unless he's on the brakes too late. the way you do it is you go in wide and try a late-ish apex so you can get on the throttle faster. the part about the steering, especially your example at the ring, is quite off too. in your vid explanation you turn in way way way too soon thus making the apex about 50m long. not to mention the expertly demonstrated understeering at the previous corner. that corner is a classic example of late apex and slingshot to through the next corner. the thing with the laptimes needing to be close is a very good point but it will not workout like that except if you are driving sprint races where you don't get to lap people.
some call the move ''the under and over''
is anyone understand the chart @5:23 if so can you please explain it more. . .
The second one is basically hand-braking for stabilization
4:25 how can you see out that windshield?! I always crash when I try driving with that view
Nice advices, thank you very much)
SIR Viper!! I have just bought my g29 and assetto as projet cars i woukd love to know what steeri g wheel option i need (so tgat i dont have to turn my wheel all the way for the understeer to stop
Love the Granturismo music
Забавно, когда ты, из NFS, находишь видео из хардкорной тусовки у себя в рекомендованных) Жаль, у меня нету стимуляторов. С радостью применил бы Ваши советы на практике.
Part 3? :D
I have a question , how do i drift on project cars using the manual overdrive also , i am stuck on tje first mision of the campaing because i dont understand the objective , i never win that race. Need help pls
Pd : i play on pc
i wish there were more players like you online, challenging but also fair drivers. i find allot of drivers will deliberately ram you and spin you.off the track. kind of takes the fun out of it. i only race online with my mates because of this reason
Thanks for the tips, i only play Real Racing 3 on my phone and keep failing follows my own racing line and crashing other player even know they only TSM
Great vídeo!!!
thanks for the info keep up the good work
Oh my, that music at 0.14, is that from Gran Turismo 3?
Kallum Shales Yep, those were good times.
I hate playing with a controller cause you either have 100% steering lock or none so its a real pain in the ass when the car wobbles on the braking or oversteers
love the videos never played project cars is it a sim game like gt6 whitch i absolutely love they look fairly similar
Project cars is even more realistic but the car roster is only 1/6 of the size, including all the DLC.
what's your favorite Gt3 ?
I have noticed that I very often use lift-off not sure why lol
Viper, what are your FOV settings in Project cars cockpit cam
13:50 like a fucking predator hiding in the shadows and waiting for the right moment to attack his prey ;DD
I'm not a pro, but I like to drift. So in racing games when I feel that my car is going to spin out (or I lost control of it) - I just basically drift.
Sorry for my English, I'm not a native speaker.
