Update 7.4 Chains in the Dark was released just a few weeks ago and it increased the ceiling for the gear. Now you can get up to 336 with PvP, 340 with Flashpoints and 344 with Operations. Check out this guide and let me explain to you how it works the easiest way to level up your gear including weapons, armor and accessories (relics and implants). You will also get an answer to why Stealthers have an advantage and why Red Reaper is so special...

Hey there is a workaround where you can just upgrade your earpiece and relics to 340 with the conquest mats. Then run vet fp's till you dropp one of those 3 pieces. If you dropp an accessoire in a slot where there is a green 340 item you'll get an instant blue 340 item and get instant 340 blue gears for all your toons ;)

Hey, yes that's correct. Now it's the two implants and your tactical for skill related bonuses... And your relics for stats boosts.

Hi Mate im doing this quest i have been doing all my Master Flashpoints .. now all my gear is BLUE 324 and 326 ..... whats best to do now ? just keep running flashpoints and upgrading a single piece to 340 for the quest ?
Yeah that's basically it. Don't forget to deconstruct useless gear
I unlocked the 340 blue enhancements but there’s only one mod to choose from and no barrels

how do you get the accessories to 340? all ive seen for guides is to get armour and main/off hand to 340
As shown in the video, implants are farmed separately. Relics and earpieces drop in flashpoints and then you can upgrade them to 340 or get them as 340 directly

I'm curious if deconstructing a implant that's blue would count? I've been only getting green armor pieces.
Hey, what is your current item rating?
As soon as you run flashpoints, you should get at least 1 prototype piece. Unequip one relic and you will get a relic for sure in the next fps.
If your current gear level is below 324, then equip those green items to get to 324.
If it's a 340 prototype implant, it should theoretically work. I didn't try it though.
Any useless green gear can be deconstructed as shown in the video to receive further fps-1 stabilizers. Let me know if it helps or if you have more questions
@RemusGT just been doing veteran FP. 328 green chest piece and the only blue I got are implants, relics, and ear piece. The rest of my gear is 324-326 green.

Does this guide apply to character that aren't level 80 yet? Im level 78 and im wanting to plat the KOTFE story on veteran because story mode is mind numbling easy but right now everything just shits on me. Packs are so hard without comps and boss feel impossible to kill. Thanx.

I'm just getting destroyed at the begining of the KOTFE story on vet. Even with Darth Marr as my only comp at the time I get out dps'd by the packs. idgi.@@RemusGT

So let me get this straight. I upgrade ONLY ONE blue item to 340 e.g. earpiece and then complete hyde and zeek mission with this 340 prototype item. Then zeek's upgrades are unlocked to me. All my other gear is still 324. So i just buy enhancements from Zeek and put it to the 324 gear i already have? That will make it automatically 340? That's it?
If that gear can be modified, yes
@@RemusGT unfortunatelly no, gear 324 that you buy from the vendor cannot be modified. So what do you do?
@@LOZYHERO77 you get modifiable gear everywhere. Either from vendors, cartel market stuff or the Galactic Trade Network

@@LOZYHERO77 easily done, just play some missions and complete the conquest (100k) on as many characters as possible. Sell the resources that drop. You can also exchange jawa junk into mats and sell those. Easy credits mate
instead of decons the prototype 340, what happens if u decons atifact 340 ?

@@UnclePhil7448 Only if you have the corresponding quest! You would get a few more options to buy. When I did that with 332, I had some extra defense modifications for tank characters

Wouldn't it be cheaper to buy a base Blue FP gear and then upgrade? My plan was to get about 340 greens, that way when I look at FP gear its already 340.
Wait no! You don't want to pay all those fp-1 stabilizers for low blue gear. You need the currency to get 1 item to 340

It doesn't work that way. You can't deconstruct a green 340 item and complete the quest through it. And where do you want to buy a full blue or purple set in 340? It's not possible that way
You need to do a serious levels pass on this.

@@RemusGT I tried the level 80 market guy but there was NOTHING there. and then when I see the components I need on the marketplace it's like golddiggers set those prices up. Now I don't know who decided to have the level 80 guy have nothing available to sell, but that person is insane. and I'm using level 70 gear for my guns and golddiggers/bougies in the game set the prices. And when it comes to me using the term gold diggers or bougie: I said what I said

Be careful with relics, I got a 380 drop then upgraded and deconstructed. Did not complete the quest.
There is no 380. It also has to resemble the quality (blue or purple; prototype or artefact) of the quest

Good layout with the video. Show Hyde and Zyke 1st, then tell how to get what is needed for the item!
A good point to bring up regarding the Blue item. There are Blue Systech items that drop which will not work. Might be good to state the name Supreme Decurion.
The guide mentions grabbing a partner and choosing specific flashpoints (which does work), then states later to grab the weeklies where you have to have ALL selected to get credit for even more FP-1s and Tech Frags.
I made a suggestion box post on the official forums to add Missions that pop up and guide you when you ding 75 (for the tactical) and again at 80 for the gearing to the proper places on Fleet. Hope they implement something like that.

Yeah, I mentioned the part with the specific flashpoints (Red Reaper) but only if you are a group of stealthers. This way is way faster than queueing for all the flashpoints since you don't have to kill al the enemies and just the bosses. In case you are not a stealther, then you can just Q for all the flashpoints in order to complete the daily and weekly mission for further fp-1 stabilizers and tech fragments.

@@tetefather in editing, it sounded ok and through TH-cam conversion, it got too loud somehow. I actually put sth like -25 dB on the track
