Very sorry to say that the Nepal series is over for now. I might upload some older Nepalese history videos but I have no date I could give you for that. As for Georgia the research never ends on that series, I’ll probably have my next video out between the next 2-3 months
Hey @StoicHistorian can you make a video about a badass character named Shree Tin Jung Bahadur Rana ? This guy's life is super interesting surrounded by myths, legends and ofcourse badassery. He at one time was homeless unemployed but oh boy who ever though he would rose to power so quickly while the other powerful nobles barely can achieve what they desire. His cunning mind, plots and the way he manipulates people is unparallel. There are some incidents where this dude kills a white tiger in 1v1 with his sword and at some point this dude freaking jumps from 225 feet Dharahara tower 😭 i thought historian over exaggerate a little but nope. Queen Victoria of Great Britain at that time was so fascinated with him there are historical records about their friendship and the romance between him and Lady Laura Bell. his invasion of Tibet in 1855-which took advantage of the Taiping uprising in China-gained Nepal many privileges there. Please check out this underrated man.
This dude is not a good leader. Modern historians blame Jung Bahadur Rana and his nephews, the Shumsher Ranas, for setting up an oppressive dictatorship in Nepal that lasted 104 years. The darkest period in all of Nepalese history. Jung Bahadur Rana's rule is associated with tyranny, debauchery, economic exploitation and religious persecution. This guy did nothing positive...
Nice video as usual! This collab was fun!
Yes it was!
Awesome work as always!
Thanks man!!!
When will you continue the Series on Nepalese and Georgian History? Loved them btw ❤
