The only reason it ended the way it did between them was because she knew he would give up his dream to take care of her and the child and she didn't want that for him she wanted to see them make it more than anything for once she made a decision that wasn't selfish or childish she thought of Nobu first and put him before herself.
She should have really aborted the baby. Especially considering Nana Osakis past and how Nana was saying that people who aren’t ready and aren’t responsible to be parents shouldn’t be because it just leads to the child suffering. Hachi was Super irresponsible.

And yes they have split but not divorced because the children's sake but takumi lives in England with the boy and hachi in Japan with the little girl. And nobou still loves hachi and hachi still loves nobou. But she doesn't leave takumi for the kids.
