Hi can you please tell me if I can do deliveries without having the postmates credit card? How will I know if the order I accept will require the postmates card or not?

That was the most informative video on Postmates I have seen. I had my bag/card for a week and didn't know what to do with it til now.
When you got your card do you need money on your prepaid card to pay for orders if it not paid for?
Legendary Drill no you don’t. If you need to pay with the card the amount automatically gets added to the card.

thanks so much for this tutorial. I started delivering today and the Postmates website video doesn't explain all the specific steps so I really messed up and lost time and money.
Thank you for this video, very helpful for someone is starting off and needs some insight on the Postmates App. It would be nice if all the Ride-share companies actually made videos to show how to use their Apps. That could be asking too much though. ;)
Agree! I wanted to start right away but realized I really didn't have any training on how to use the app- the website says to take picture of the receipt & upload it & put it into the customer bag. Have no idea what that means... Couldn't find the Support phone # or email link of any kind. Thank goodness for this video
I signed up for this ad a week ago I finally got my Postmates card and my bag and I'm ready to go I went online to accept orders and there's a detailed map it shows me location for pickup order and shows me delivery on the same map at the same time which makes it very convenient if I want to accept the order or not I haven't ran in order yet but I will do so in a couple of days I'm going to give this a go and see if it works out thank you for your video

On my app when I am having problems with my orders during the pick up process I click support but there is no way to contact anyone
The colored hexagons do not mean there is Blitz pricing. That is indication of a hot spot. And keep in mind the hot spots are based on historical data and are not real time. Also, you did not mention that you need to swipe right on "Start delivery" before you start heading towards the customer's address

So, will having using a TRUCK or VAN have any bearing on the types of offers I receive?
What possible thought process could there be in delivering someone's hamburger and fries in a TRUCK!!?

On the order screen, does it offer any information on the offered job? I didn't see distance to pick up distance to customer or amount the job is worth to the driver in the video.

The red area doesn't represent a blitz area, it's a heat map to show which areas give you a greater chance at receiving a delivery.

what happens if you lost the postmates card. I lost it and I already fill out to get new one but it still gives me orders that deal with the card how do I turn that part off? Also why can't you see more details before you accept. I don't want to accept an order that you have to pay.

Go where the money is. Don't deliver to your area if its garbage like mine is.
Would love to see an updated version of your commentary now that the app has become so much more popular and user-friendly. I had no trouble at all setting up my account- in fact I made over $140 from the day I signed up to the 4th day of work, with a total of 14 deliveries and maybe 3 hours of work. It's much more efficient than it was, I think. Plus there's a customer service phone number now avail 24/7 and they've solved all my problems. I'd love to see your new tips!

How do you find out where the delivery is going before you accept it? I had 30 minutes before i wanted to be home and took a delivery that took me across the city. 1 hour roundtrip. Good money but thats besides the point.

On the preferences area you can choose either Google or Waze for GPS just seen it in another video. My app is a little different I am new so I have the newest update. Great video
By going into your preferences, you can choose which map application your phone loads automatically.

Okay so before I start I just got my card in the mail I have a few questions. When I got the app I couldn’t move forward with the login information cause I needed the postmates card. So once I put that information in I could go online if I wanted. I did see that I could put my bank account/ routing number so I did. Dose that mean I could start ? Another question, you said sometimes the food is paid for, if it’s not then I just use the postmates card ? & it should be paid for ?
Are the orders automatically placed to the restaurant or do you as the driver need to place any orders manually?

They are two apps Postmates.
One is Postmates - food delivery and other one is Postmates - Fleet. Which one should i download and use it ?
I just had a question, if i have to pay for the order myself with the prepaid card, does that mean i need to make the order based on what they requested on the map, or is their order already input in the restaurants system?
Should I leave my account “ONLINE” while taking the food for the first delivery, so Ill have time to be at the other delivery after Im finished with the first one?. Cant do 2 at one time.

Do You Happen to know if i have to sign up as an individual with postmates as a delivery person, or can i have the option to sign up as a S-Corp or a LLC? i have a legal entity with a EIN.

I moved from Uber and Lyft beginning of this week, on Postmates, I am needing to rE-boot my phone all the time, it hangs up and won’t let me confirm order, or go to dropping off. Sometimes no phone number to contact if Cant find address. Any ideas?

Ree Drummond from my experience most of the time you have to place the order, wait for it, and most times also pay for the order with your Postmates card. A lot to do for such low money. Your basically working for tips.
Someone told that Walmart is using them for deliveries and that if I wanted to just choose deliveries for Walmart I could do that. Is that true?
Great video, but I’m having trouble even signing up. Clicked, “GetStarted” button entered email & a p/w, then next...signup page is blank...just all white. Later, when email arrived prompting me to finish signing up, it again goes to the same blank page with no way to further input info. Was I supposed to download the app FIRST, rather than AFTER signup?...or is their website just crap 💩 & wonky...or currently overloaded?

Maybe you can help me, I made this postmates account a few months ago when i lived in greensboro. Now i live in Wilmington and it’s still saying my zone is greensboro and it’s not letting me work towards the incentives since i’m not in my zone. but my zone should be wilmington not greensboro because i don’t live there anymore. there is no option i see to change this on the app or website

you forgot to say with postmate app you have to order the food yourself at the restaurant which is a waist of time unlike uber or grubhub the food most of the time will be ready to pick it up if not just waiting time is less than postmate.on top of that you have to take a picture of the receipt and type how much it is before you tap start delivering which is a time loss, as soon you tap start delivering the gps is not ready either you need to wait until you see google gps or any other you wanna use. you have to deal with too many steps before you start driving with postmate.

Hello so why does Postmates give you the option of linking your bank account and say you don’t have to wait to get the kit if you decide to Your your card and I’m pretty sure you won’t get reimbursement when it come out your pocket

The customer has to input their credit card info before they can take a ride, you are paid through the app.

Today was my first time doing Postmates and by the time I got to the restaurant I got cancelled! Why! I ride my bike far away just to pick up the food
I signed up for Postmates back at the end of July or the first week in August phone crash could not pull up the app had to reapply August 7th I have been waiting for Postmates to give me another background check over a month how do I help I have four cards and three bags since then
They play games, you should not have accumulated those many cards and bags. I HAD, 2 Bags and 2 Cards, they take your money and you never hear anything again. Choicy:(

No but if you don't accept a number of orders after a while, the app may log you off.
