It’s simple really, if the assets of a club or business are worth more than the debt of said club /business. Then those in charge aren’t going to let it go into administration are they. Everton’s new stadium is worth more than all of the clubs debt alone, let alone the commercial value of the club and players etc so no chance they would just bin it all off and go into administration.

New owners have changed our investment in less than 3 seasons, our financial investment has gone up 500% since they took over and will constantly grow, we are years ahead of Everton financially and will always be once we get the red tape shifted so we can really spend...watch this space

Everton and Liveprool share one city with Everton having over 30,000 on the season ticket waiting list, only Newcastle in Newcastle, Everton are the 8th most successful team in England, founder member of both leagues, most seasons in top flight football in the world, and 2nd most consecutive seasons in top flight, as for trophies, ok Everton last major one was 29 years ago, but 69 years for Newcastle, oh yes, anyone buying Everton will also be buying a brand new state of the art stadium in a magnificent location which would cost near 1 billion on it's own, so yes, Newcastle where sold for what they are worth.

Considering the wealthy people who are looking to invest in EPL clubs, the PSR needs to find a way to attract huge financial investment for new owners to sign players within a specified timeframe that will not attract sanctions for the clubs and make them more competitive in the league. If not, the PSR will be nothing more than helping to create an EPL Super League.

Clubs wages is near 90% of turnover (which will be a breach even under the new proposed rules) the clubs losing over 100 million a year not even counting the stadium costs. Its over a billion in debt . Unless someone can come in and bring I'm about 200 million a year in extra commercial revenue from day 1 then the clubs only going to decline further, you only have to look at the Man Utd sale and Liverpool and Spurs attempts to bring in investors to realise there's really not that kind of financial clout on the market. Even middle Eastern investors would probably look at all the other prem clubs without a billion in debt and huge year on year losses as a better prospect to do another Newcastle

Spurs are valued at 2B. What do they have Everton don't apart from no history .The new stadium is a gold mine. It's on the waterfront in the center and will become defacto venue for all large scale music events in the area. They are basically getting the stadium for just what it cost to construct it and the club for free.

@@george150799 I was of the opinion that facility costs were not included in FFP, which is how we (NUFC) have upgraded our traning centre and are looking to expand our stadium. Is that not the case?

Just compare the current state of Everton to Newcastle when we were sold. Both are similar in terms of fanbase size and the fact we were fighting relegation every season like Everton are now. However we had a completed stadium (which is roughly the same size as Everton's new one will be) and weren't in any form of financial ruin with point deductions hanging over our heads!
So how someone can sit there with a straight face and say Everton is a bargain at £700m when Newcastle were sold for £305m is laughable
