I think the Mertz was my favorite. I started playing “Nowhere” after hearing you play in a previous video and I love the reactions from people when I play it. Love the callback you did for it twice in the video! Definitely an audience favorite. Thanks for the videos
Thank you Beatrix, these pieces are very precious. You are a legend for sharing these simple and lovely pieces. As an intermediate, it is so great to have your understanding touch for us who often feel lost.
Thank you! I will support you by purchasing a few things from your store. I love what you're doing. I'm 54 and have been playing on my own with no teacher for 40 years. I still suck, but it's nice to have such wonderful pieces to suck at. :)
Thank you! The second to last one is pretty easy to find online, but I also have an arrangement shared on my patreon page in cast you can't find a good free version :)
@@beatrixguitar Thank you, Beatrix! I'm on the verge of moving for a third time this year, so will have to wait for more stability to be able to focus on learning a new piece!
@ oh no that sounds frustrating, hope you find a permanent place for yourself soon where you can feel home and focus on your creativity 😁 wishing you the best!
Hi Beatrix! I had never heard about "Natalia" before. I will start using it in my teaching already next year. Thanks a lot =) ! The other ones are great too, like Adagio of Mertz, which I have had many pupils playing for years. One particular favorite of mine is "Home" by Andrew York. It's more on the advanced level, but still so very beautiful sounding. For the more intermediate players, anything composed by Jonas Mollberg should be great. "Orion" as a starting example. His sheet/tab music are free on his website, so I can really recommend those.
I really like Tatiana Stachak. I have her second etudes book. The music is not difficult but has a special unique atmosphere. She is mainly a music teacher, it is a pity that she has not composed more works.
Right, but I really think she found a good spot for herself in writting super helpful material for less advanced people, and I especially love how her etudes are always very educational but sound absolutely lovely at the same time, so for my students it doesn't feel like a chore to learn them
Dear Bea, most of today's pieces, though new to me, are beautiful... I'll try learn em during this Christmas holidays 😁💓 Now, if you possibly can, please cover for us Gran Vals, Caprichio Arabe, and also Lagrima in your next video. Thank you! ☺️🙏
there is a Piece that i learned It's easy short and beautiful too called ''nostalgia by Rodrigo Riera'' its not famous at all but i really liked it .... i think NATALIA will be my next one thanks for your suggestion❤❤ also the 5th one is not it similar to rainy etude that you recommended in the first same video?
Yes, Kurpié etude is very similar to Rainy etude, but it is much easier. I'll check out the piece you recommended soon, and if you can think of more, let me know!
All of the pieces stuck out to me, I particularly liked the Moustaki. What is the piece you put behind yourself talking there at the end of the video? It sounds so familiar, I cant place it though
Lovely playing, Beatrix. And, thank you for the suggestions of pieces to play. But isn't the version you play of the Adagio piece (original in G-minor) by Albinoni/Giazotto in A-minor (not D-minor as you say)? The fingering seems to follow the arrangement by Allen Mathews.
Great pieces, but the 2nd one is not by Albinoni. It was actually written by Remo Giazotto, a musicologist who based it on a purported Bass line by Albinoni that he discovered. It's a neo-baroque piece from the 20th century. Keep up the great work!

Natalia has to be my favorite. It´s actually the piece that got me into playing guitar as a child, cause my mom was playing it alot back than. ^-^
I liked the Albinoni
I'm trying to learn Greensleeves now.

A suggestion for a beginner: In Sorrows Wake by Andrew York.
I'm listening it rn, it's really nice!
@@Legengary83 Lovely piece.
Would say it is more advanced beginner though. Nice suggestion and on my to learn list.
Some fantastic suggestions here Beatrix. Thank you. 🙏
Thank you for these suggestions. I will try them out!
This is awesome! You inspired me to play again
Played beautifully as always! 😊
Thank you so much ☺️

@beatrixguitar thank you for your Efforts it helped us alot❤️
She's is sweet and wow so talented. Thank you for sharing this beautiful piece 💜
Thanks for listening, glad you enjoyed!
Yanvalloux - Frantz Casseus or the Haitian Suite
I have always played the Mertz Adagio in 3/4 time.
Here's two suggestions :
A mi madre - Oscar Rosati
Nostalgia - Cees Hartog
Thanks, I'll check them out!
Wals in G by Bartolome Calatayud. Melodic and easy to learn. Teaches phrasing.
A beginner to intermediate suggestion (and a classic of the Brazilian repertoire): Sons de Carrilhões, by João Pernambuco
I am eagerly waiting to join your beginner course. Please create one asap.. ❤
I'm working on a different course now, but I hope I can make a beginner course too in the near future :)
Waiting 😊

Did I say d minor? Oh no, I’ll watch that part back soon, I say all sorts of stupid things

Yes, another common misattribution. Even on modern sheet music. They will sometimes put it as a footnote, however.
Natalia should be flattered that someone wrote a piece for her
My one piece of grey hair peaking out on the left is killing me 💀this camera is ruthless 😅
Never complain about you hair. I used to complain about mine and now I am bald. Not the end of the world but miss it all the same.
@@beatrixguitar I never noticed it, but now that’s all I’m looking at lol
@@Sc-Runner hahaha I know, same for me, once I saw, I couldn't unsee
Can assure you, nobody notices it.
Svp ajouter des sous titre en francais pour que nous puissions profiter de vos cours de guitare beatrix merci
Milyen gitár amit játszol? gyönyörű.
I play electric. Thanks for noticing. Beatrix plays a classical guitar with carbon strings.
I am trying a “so called” easy piece, Andantino - Fernando Sor.
It is, for me, very difficult.
I know that one, that's lovely, good luck with it!
@ Thanks. I find the “hammer on and offs” (d to c, g to f) lead to a loss of the moved to notes.
I’ll give it time and practice.
Nice bb ❤
