I'd add that mayo to tuna for sandwiches, or eggs for sandwiches, or chickpeas for sandwiches - basically, it's the mayo + pickle I'd use in those salad sandwiches.

What was Heron doing selling food past the use by date? It’s fine that they are in the good to go bags but surely they weren’t on the shelves. If you don’t normally eat some of the canned foods I would store them away for a rainy day. All those zucchini’s look lovely. I make zucchini slice and the whole family love it, even the ones that don’t like zucchini’s.

Oh pumpkin works great in cake! You can also roast it, blend it to a purée and make pumpkin pie. One year I grew some Atlantic giant and had so much I made it into wine with vanilla, cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg. It was nice! Xx

I like mayo & I like branston pickle but have never thought of combining the 2. Ed looked more confused the more jars you brought out the bag. Cut me some cheese man sounded so wrong. 😂
A few weeks my local little Tesco had bbqs reduced to £14 from like £80 etc. It’s crazy what they reduce etc. I went to the big Tesco and brought ribbon - 75% off. 5 metres - white x2 - 25p each and 3x pastel pink, blue, yellow and green 2 m each colours, 8 metres in total - 38p each. It’s crazy - use in cooking etc.
Oh wow you got some bargains there! I keep toying with the idea of finding a BBQ on sale but the thought of policing two toddlers round one next summer…. I think I will wait a couple of years 😂 xx
Ed's a good sport isn't he. I think the branstonaise could also survive in the nuclear bunker. I'd probably just use it on sandwiches or maybe mix in with some coleslaw ingredients rather than straight mayo.

Branstonaise sounds icky but I put anything I dont like from a TGTG bag on a local Community Reuse and Recycle page so it helps out someone else. I guess you could donate them to a foodbank.
It’s actually pretty nice! The nearest food bank is funny on accepting expired food sadly but that’s a brilliant idea 😊 we’ve given a couple of jars away but I think we’ll get through the rest xx

Hiya Claire a good bag from Heron, never tried Branstonaise but like both individually so would probably like it. Im not really a lover of soup... Heinz is ridiculously expensive, I buy for other family members but get it from Aldi 69p and its as good as tfs Jax x❤
I would imagine it would be OK on a burger? I frequently browse Heron as I work close to one, I saw the Branston Mayo on the shelf and decided not to buy though 😂

@@mumthings It's made by Heinz. Basically it's salad cream with tiny bits of carrot and onion etc to make it into a spread.
