Greeno, your generosity and forgiveness is beyond words. If the people at TGTG sent me on a wild goose chase, I would be asking for a lot more than £4 and also I would not be attributing that to your next TGTG bag being "free". They owed you for messing you about. The TGTG bag was decent and I agree, the sour dough bread was the best single item.
I agree, that the wild goose chase was disappointing, but the one and only major snafu I have had from TGTG, so I can forgive them! This was a good bag though, the bread was outstanding!
Hi Greeno, what a bloomin bargain. Over here (Cyprus) we pay 2.25 euros for a large sliced bread!! But having said that our bakeries are open 24/7/364 days, they only close on Xmas day, so you can buy fresh every day, which I love. Everything you got in that bag looked great, with the last loaf I would have chosen a whole roast chicken in the middle of the table and just rip, eat and share!! Smashing. 🌠🌠🤗🤗
That’s a bargain bag Greeno!! That Cheese and Sweet Chilli Sourdough Bread or the Cheese & Onion tear and share warmed up dipping in some nice warm Camembert Cheese 😋 Enjoyed that Greeno 👍 ….. Smithy
100%… annoyingly they always put their bags up for 3.30-4pm collection, so it’s always clashed with work or football. First free Saturday I got in a while so grabbed it, now checking for my next footie free Saturday so I can get back up there 😀
@@GreenoEats I am very lucky where I live. We have a bakery, small chain, local, that has been going for over 100 years. The choice is much less than it used to be but my goodness their products are so good. They don't do Artisan stuff like your cheese and chilli sourdough, which looked amazing, but they do perfectly shaped items using the best flour, butter etc. Everyone over the age of 50 in the whole town goes to their shops. Also there is a couple in the Market Hall which is half empty sadly, who do French patisserie, the lady is French. One croissant is £1.60 but I have seen him unwrap the butter, the time it takes to produce their produce. It is a treat that I have one of their patisserie each week. Anyway that was a long reply but I do like looking at these works of art that we eat and enjoy. See you on the next one Greeno. 👍
Those places near you sound fab. I hope they continue to be well supported enough to keep going. I’m off to France next week, so looking forward to some nice patisserie items 😀
Yeah, even though she has a bit of a gluten intolerance, my wife smashed down most of that tear and share over the next couple of days - couldn't help herself!
One of the best magic bags so far that Greeno! I'm very impressed with the heft of those scones, and there's all kinds of versatile stuff you can do with those quality looking loaves. 🍞🥪
Yeah, it was a belter. And you’re right about the versatility of the loaves. As the chilli and cheese sourdough started to go stale yesterday I used the little bit that was left to make some amazing croutons. Yum!
its a good price but I would not pay the full price for them items. paying over £3 for a loaf of bread does seem expensive. I know people will say its good but many people can not afford to be that picky when short on cash.
Of course, not everyone can spend £3+ on a loaf of bread (I wouldn’t be surprised if that sourdough was £4+ actually)… but that is showing the beauty of this app, sometime you can get things out of your normal price range and treat yourself 😀
They open on Sundays too. There are 2 branches- one on the market square and a smaller about 100 metres away in Salisbury. The loafs are £3 to £5 each.
You’re right, checking it seems the Blandford branch does also open Sundays, albeit for shorter hours. I’ve been to the larger branch in Salisbury. Bought some bits from there and from the Saturday market in the Market Square and had a delicious picnic in the cathedral grounds, yum!
Time for another Magic Bag - let me know what you think of this one!
My favourite item was the cheese and chilli sourdough loaf, it was delicious!
@@GreenoEats The entire haul looked fantastic to be fair.
Yep. Would have been decent for £4. Even better for free 😉
All banging, what a great bag, looks best to get one on a Saturday then init,
Best one I have seen! ….. Smithy

One of the better ones you've had and all looked delicious and yeah most could be frozen
Really was a cracker wasn’t it! It could have been frozen, but it wasn’t, it got scoffed 😂
A good haul Greeno, good recipe ideas x
🙂
Excellent bag, all looked top quality. Plenty of ingredients used too. Good value at £4.
Absolutely - to be honest if I had got that for the supposed original price of circa £12 I'd still have been impressed !

I like that kind of communal eating you describe - nothing fancy, just tasty food and everyone tucks in til their hearts content!
@@GreenoEats It was our tradition on Saturdays out of Rugby season!
Amazing value Greeno 👏 👌 love ❤ these magic bags abit like Christmas 🎄 😅😅😅😅🎉❤
They are (mostly) good aren’t they. I do like the lucky dip element of them.
@@GreenoEats I don't think we have anything like that here in Australia only at our Royal shows!
love these magic bag reviews !
Thanks! This was certainly a good bad to review (and to eat afterwards 😀)

Nice Thumbnail sir,
After blowing £100 at that fish festival Magic Bags are all I can afford now ha ha!
Phew, looks like a very good haul! Hope it tasted as good as it looked :D
Hey Lile 😀 It certainly was good, the chilli and cheese was my favourite for sure. Everything was fresh and tasty for 2-3 days afterwards too!
Well everything was free :) winning! I liked the cheese & onion pull apart :) did the fam liked the selection?
Yes, Mrs Greeno often mentions that I should go to back and get more bags from this store!
Free Food, that's the Hammer,
£4 sounds like a great price to be fair init,
Even at the full price of circa £12 I'd have been happy. For £4 I was delighted. For free, well, does it get any better??
