      Hi Patrick! Would you give me some advice? I've noticed some of my greatest weaknesses are related to coding. How do i get my first software dev to build the inner structure of an app without having him stealing/replicating the main idea? Thanks in advance man. This young enthusiastic boy sends his greetings from Argentina.

    Steve Jobs couldn't actually code. He was good at electronics but not as good as he was at Sales, Marketing, branding and design. However Wozniak was the opposite; an INSANE engineer in electronics and coding however was super introverted and wanted to give the Apple 1 away for free (and did at first). The two complemented each other perfectly. Great video Pat

    This is awesome! One piece of advice I would add is the incredible importance of having having written copy for your processes. To new business owners, your company is what you write. When it comes time to onboard staff you will have the tasks you want to delegate on hand, in writing and ready to go for your job description!

    Not a lot of people watch this 4 years later I’m sure but what id like to say is we are truly blessed and lucky to have this man. We have seen him apply his own discoveries that he has taught us over years and the proof is literally all there. He has duplicated his buisiness over and over again. One of my biggest role models❗️

    Dam, I swear that these videos come out exactly when I need. I am literally in the process of picking my first partner/employee and i've been debating. The part about picking someone who is like you is so right. I realize I was not moving forward because It was "fun" to think about someone with my same skills along side but at the end of the day, I need to focus on fixing the weaknesses. TY!

      Valuetainment I agree 50/50 because without sales your business is dead. If you dont have much money starting out and you're the salesperson you can hire a second salesperson to double income then hire admin. Do you agree?

      The Business Channel you would then be losing out in other dipartments 🤔🤔

    • @yugimudo
      @yugimudo 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Business Channel Sales is converting prospect to customer whereas marketer turn stranger to prospect.
      You can quadraple your sales team but in the end, without leads you will not able to get people to close your sales pitch.

    There's something about this channel that I can't explain, even though about 65% of the time the message conveyed is that which am already acquainted with, there is just something, some passion, I can't explain it....All I know is that it keeps bringing me back and everyday am always learning and taking notes. Keep it up because one day, you and I are gonna meet at a whole new different level. And by the way am following from Kenya.

      Hanry Chan in some ways I can understand what your thinking, business schools tends to be like that - schools of Medical, Architecture, Engineering, Law etc. tend to be better. As Patrick said in the video - 'Should you drop out of college' something like that, I'm not entirely sure. 'Those schools require more detail'.

    • @TasX
      @TasX 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wait, I thought most business schools were mainly post grad like Wharton. Like there’s a undergrad program, but they expect you to already have a business to do business school. Plus, it helps you build really strong connections.

    with my tree care service, I thought I needed help in the field, both for safety and productivity. I went through a lot of helpers and my productivity remained flat. once I hired an admin assistant, my productivity soared, even without a helper in the field.

    Indeed, a good example of "opposing strength" relationship is the case of apple. Steve Jobs didn't have enough knowledge of engineering but he was good at marketing, public relations, and selling. On the flip side, Wozniak was a gifted engineer with a lot of experience in Electronics.

  • @sahajrajmalla
    @sahajrajmalla 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Sir Patrick! I have some question for you that i am suffering to understand !
    1)What do you mean by admin?
    2)Isn't Advertising and marketing the same thing ?
    3)And if we market the product, doesn't the sale increase automatically ?
    4) What are the difference between finance and accounting?
    Thank You for your precious time !

    • @kauminpatel
      @kauminpatel 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      1.admin means people who manage stuff above everbody and paperwork and things that are important but doesn't directly relate customer
      2. the difference between advertising and marketing is
      advertising focus on what to present in front of people and marketing is much more sophisticated process
      3.its not always best product get more sell , you have to make people believe then they buy
      4 finance include raising money, budget and paying and all
      accounting means recording business transactions

      @Gabriel.4190 4 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      Tough call, because the second he starts showing up late or becomes lazy “you’ll justify it and or allow it” not 💯 % of the time but because he’s your brother any Family member
      For that matter
      Ground rules must thoroughly be established & importance scale of the business success tip you either into
      1. anger and frustration
      Causing a divide between said family member
      Or
      2. Submittance
      You effectively become their employee as they stand around talking a good game but your the only one doing physical work.
      Don’t believe just wait and see if you don’t polite but firmly establish what needs established.
      will succumb to the familial hierarchy.

    Thanks Patrick and #Valuetainment. I have been wondering this for some time. I am more an Administrator and Product guy, I thought what I needed were persons to help me improve #BestYouPro products to make them even better. Your video showed me my error, It would cost to make those improvements and create more products, better to put those resources into driving sales for the products we already have THEN move onto new products to grow the business and offer better service.
    Much Appreciated.
