The quality is amazing!
These dolls look like the style of the animated characters of the 80s TV show and all the promotional art work on the dolls boxes, clothing packages and posters.
MAGNIFICENT doll!
It's an impressive doll. Nice articulation. I'm not super sold on the face personally. Something about the heavy eyeliner gives her an almost sleepy look. The head sculpt looks a little more angular than it should be to my eyes. There are a lot of talented artists on TH-cam that customize dolls, I'd love to see one of them take a crack at improving the likeness.

Compared to the ‘80s original release from Hasbro? Huge difference in quality. But I still have a nostalgic love of the originals.
@@HoneyBeeHappyMe I recently bought a Jem Award Night doll. Despite my wanting to open it and set it up for viewing, I'm thinking of keeping it in the box as is. I will get the original doll from the 80s so that I can have her wear different doll clothes.

I really don’t like her face :( Jem had much softer features.
The animated version did have softer features. The original dolls had rounder features but still didn’t really look like them either.
Huge Jem fan of the 1985 cartoon series so happy i didnt see the terrible 2015 movie remake but cool Jem doll🙂

Did you know there is a real life all female hard rock/ glam metal band called Vixen who are well known for their songs “Edge of a Broken Heart” and “Cryin” but they are not the basis for Jem and The Holograms.
Her face looks a bit David Bowish... Still, she is glamourous

@@HoneyBeeHappyMe I just subscribed to you. I bought Award Night Jem. So I know what to expect when she gets here. I hope to get other dolls soon. I didn't see them when it aired and got interested in them because of getting the cartoons recently on DVD.

why did they make them so expensive tho? i know they have a ton of detail and stuff. but still.?
They are very expensive. I have no idea how much they actually cost to make.
The eyebrows are not arched they are more flat across in the cartoon that is what threw me off from wanting this doll. It makes her look like any doll in their doll line. I like the more natural look. Arched eyebrows also give her a angry or snobby look instead of a sweet, and kind look.
Nothing like real jem and our version we grew up with you could transform jem into jericca this is nope for me she looks NOTHING like the iconic jem
She is beautiful but NOT JEM
She does look very different.
