Thank you very much professor! This video was very helpful. Lots of good information. So far, I have rotated a baking soda spray along with milk spray for my outdoor crop. The baking soda spray may have been a little too concentrated, it left the leaf tips a little crispy but the plant overall recovered well. I just used a milk spray for the first time today at a ratio of 1:9 (milk:water) I was concerned that too much concentration would encourage mold or other fungal pathogens. Look forward to seeing the results. The biggest take away from what I’ve learned (specifically for outdoor cultivation) is that nature will consistently keep you on your toes. The best measures are always preventative. Location and strain selection are indeed very important factors to consider when cultivating outdoor.
Been dealing with pm for awhile now, finally installed hepa sock over my furnace duct that supplies the grow room. That was the issue after a year of expensive fungicide (PureCrop1), thorough floor to ceiling scrub and hepa air cleaner trying to eradicate. Need a serious duct cleaning for sure. Very good material professor.
great video as always professor! Do you have any tips for breaking the powdery mildew cycle in our greenhouse? I dont think winter gets cold enough as it seems to pop up every year.
Can you open the vents in winter and drop the temperature? Keep other plants to a minimum and you will reduce the chance of it carrying over on other plants.
Thanks!! I’m so worried my crop is gonna be ruined. It made its way to another strain like 15 feet from the plant that first had it. I didn’t realize at first. But I’m new and have been watching a lot of grow videos. I remember hearing someone mention powdery mildew once, so I looked it up, and is exactly what is wrong with mine. Just hope I caught it early enough. Or my 8, 8 foot plants are ruined 😢😢😢 The worst part is that I don’t grow to sell, I grow to make sure my family and close friends don’t have to spend anything, and they know where it came from, which now a days people are lacing it with fetynal. Can’t be to careful.
I could harvest two plants right now. One has powdery mildew but one seems to be ok. Should I wash my buds in hydrogen peroxide or baking soda, spray with milk and water? Should I hang them to dry in separate places. Help!
@@DeBaccoUniversityThank you! I didn't have my drying room ready and I got a little nervous and sprayed with a milk and water solution. I hope to finish my room today and wash in hydrogen peroxide tomorrow. Will this wash off the milk? Or should I wait as long as possible to give the milk wash time to dissipate ? Should I keep the two plants isolated during the drying process? Also, one more thing, how long after washing the buds do you need to let them dry before putting in the 'drying room'?
Hows it going? i had MILD Powdery Mildew my last harvest. about a month ago. i defoliated and sprayed a bunch of Lost Coast Plant Therapy before harvest. Are there still spores in my room i was growing in?
What should i do if I'm outdoors in a greenhouse and have grape vines near by that have pm? Should i spray the grape vines and treat my plants? I just started seeing signs off it on my plants and noticed it on the grapes for a couple weeks.
Into flower now here in S. Ontario. Can I spray the whole plant with milk or just leaves? Avoiding flower is not that easy. Should I stop spraying at a certain time nearing harvest?
Goal should be to apply where you expect Powdery Mildew to form. Stopping spraying about 7-14 days before harvest would be a good idea with the applications of H2O2 after you stop a milk spray but before you harvest.
I just hit day 20 of flower and noticed small white spots on some leaves. Not really a lot honestly. Should I go for a peroxide spray or milk spray? Are they safe for the buds? Any info would be greatly appreciated. This is my first grow.
Does anyone know how long it takes for it to disappear after its killed? Ive been doing milk treatments and im wondering if maybe its killing it but just might take some time for it to visibly go away? I have a few weeks left so really hoping i can get rid of it by then. Going to do my second/final treatment of neem oil tonight.

Can I mix Monterey B.T. for caterpillars with the milk and water for powdery mildew together in the same sprayer for one application? Or is it best to do them separately?
Thank you. Before you had a chance to reply to my question, I played it safe and did them separately, I did the milk, and the next day I did the B.T. I'll give mixing it a try next time I need to spray for powdery mildew. @@DeBaccoUniversity

Its low residual makes it possible to be applied late into the plant development. It should still be applied as minimal as possible. One of the things you can do is to treat areas away from your plant . watch for trees, shrubs and other plants that are affected by fungus and treat them . Fight the fungus before reaching the crop .
Unfortunately, it is highly air born and also different plant species get different species of Powdery Mildew so if you see it on a tree this same species may not even effect your plants.
