- Hey Y'all! Today we make our way to Paradise Beach in Cozumel, Mexico for a fun day at the beach. Then we spend our last sea day on the Carnival Vista chillin' out max and relaxin' all cool.
Have you been to Paradise Beach? How would you rate your experience?
You don't feel like you're being just a wee bit dramatic? "Losing everything" like the title says definitely does not describe this situation. I've lost a home, car, and many of the contents of such in one night. You pick up and move on. You're on a cruise with what appears to be a beautiful and healthy family. Losing footage isn't ideal but certainly isn't the end of the world. No hate, just maybe giving some perspective.
Hey Liz! Yes we do feel like it's a bit dramatic. We have also lost things of that nature over the years as well, and it does not compare to losing our family vacation footage. To be honest, Stephanie is just a very emotional person, and in the moment it really did hit hard that we lost our vacation footage, not so much for sharing on TH-cam, but just for our personal reflection. Overall the cruise was sensational and we feel very blessed to be happy and healthy and have the means to take a trip like that in the first place. I really appreciate your perspective. I have considered changing the thumbnail, I just haven't figured out what would fit the best just yet. Thanks for taking the time to give some feedback! - Jerms
@@stephandjerms Thanks for the reply, the video seemed much less dramatic than the thumbnail. Sorry you lost your footage though. My videos and photos are my prized possessions and I would definitely cry a little too. I hope your dreams of traveling more with your lovely family comes true and mayne we'll see each other around on a cruise one day. We are going on our first one in 8 years (life happens 🤷♀️) and I'm so excited.

Ah Steph, you made me cry. I was feeling your emotions. You're so sweet and I relate to the pain of losing photos and videos. Loving the music in the videos and just seeing y'all having a wonderful time. I am living vicariously through y'all! ❤❤❤

Okay, the video you had intended to show did not work out, but you guys improvised, adapted and overcame that set back and still produced a very informative and entertaining video! Great review. Going on cruise soon next Spring Celebrity Cruises with the wife kid free. What do you use to record a camera or a phone?
Hey there! Jerms here, we use a GoPro Hero11 for now. Thinking about trying the Osmo Pocket 3 in the future. The GoPro is great but it overheats occasionally, and the lost footage issue, which may not be the camera, but we don’t know just yet. We have the Volta handle/battery bank and the media mod as well. So far it’s great but we are still figuring it all out to be honest.

That’s funny you say that because I wondered the other day how often they might do that. The taxi’s were lined up out there. Our taxi driver said this was their slow season…must be trying to make some extra money! Hate that they did that, but hope it was still a great time for ya. How was the celebration? I’ve seen videos but never been on it.

WOW!!!! This review from D.J. Trump was a bit nasty. I feel sorry for those who do not want their children with them on vacation. I started taking my son with me no matter where I was going. He is now grown and has his own family, but he has those memories just as I do of the good times. I see nothing wrong with taking your children as long as they know right from wrong and do not act like animals. I have seen some of those and it is upsetting. I was on one cruise where the teens were going up and down the halls ripping decorations off the doors and knocking on doors all hours of the night. You have to wonder why. I also love cruising and had one planned for June of this year but had to cancel because I ended up in the hospital. What a bummer because it was to be my last one on my favorite ship to my favorite island of Bermuda. I travel alone and am lucky to have done many cruises and gone to other places. That was my goal when I ended up divorced and retired, to just keep moving on and enjoying my life the way I wanted to.
Absolutely! We cherish our time with our kids. We also teach them to respect others and to know their audience and environment. There’s a time and a place to be wild and free!
That’s so great you have those memories now! Im excited to be making them for ourselves. That’s the main reason losing our footage was so upsetting. 😢
