    I've seen several videos about the Spotlight SE, you're the first one to give a heads up about it getting hot to the touch. Thank you for that. Will probably be getting one next month. Great video. Appreciate you.

    Wow, I've been eying these for awhile and the smaller form factor is now looking like a green light. Dope work on the foliage background super natural!

    Good info. Thanks! Observation: sounds like your audio has too much compressor or limiter in post. Each time you inhale between sentences, it's really loud and exaggerated. We had lots of trouble with this ourselves and stopped using leveling plugins because they were more trouble than they were worth.

    Great video Tyler. I’ve been using the original spotlight on set and you can create so much more interesting scenes with it. I’ll hopefully add the 300c and the SE to my kit at some stage next year

    Great video! Tell me: would pairing the Spotlight SE with an Amaran 150c be just as good as the 300c? Any situations where it would lose out to a 300c?

    Firstly I want to say that I'm happy for you Becca! I'm am looking forward to more content from you.
    I love my Pixel 9 Pro XL but I wish Google wouldn't rely on AI so much on their camera and focus on putting better hardware in there.
    I'd also say I wish Google would create an Android LOG video recording standard. It's a niche feature but makes sense to have it.
    There's only so much that software can do. The color shifting issues in the video make it clear.
    What Becca says at the end encapsulates this.

    It's amazing to me how poorly some films are lit, specifically when it comes to motivation. My wife works in the film industry, and she did a film last year with Micky Rourke. First, yes, he's a nutjob. Second, as you can imagine, it was a low budget film. Anyway, the lighting person must have just discovered color LEDs because there were no scenes without either blue or magenta lighting. Seriously, in the middle of the woods, magenta light?! Apparently, they missed the day in film class where the concept of "motivated lighting" was taught? Also, it was so poorly lit that the editor boosted the exposure of some scenes (specifically those in the woods) which would have been fine, except that the whole image was not boosted. Only the actors in the scene received the exposure increase. I could go on about how horrible this movie is, but it's really off topic. The point is, MOTIVATED LIGHTING is extremely important and I'm glad to see you talking about it here. Thanks!

    Great review and information, I have the spotlight SE with the 19-degree lens, and I am definitely a fan, it's a fantastic piece of kit that I would not give up. I use it with the 300c as well as the 150c, generally with I prefer it with the 150c as it doesn't get as hot and the 300c is usually a key light. However, the one thing I will say is that the Amaran really needs to work on the focusing aspect of the spotlight, it really is clunky at best and sometimes can be very difficult to adjust, especially when it is hot from running for a bit. Cheers keep up the fantastic content.

    I’m choosing between the Amaran 300c and the Amaran 150c. What can you recommend? Thanks.

    Great video as always.
    Question for you though.
    You mentioned its designed for the 150c and 300c.
    How does she run on the Amaran 200D? I'm wondering if the 200 is too punchy for it, as the 200 is pushing out more lumens (at least at 5600k) then the 300c.
    If you've any 1st hand experience I'd love to know!

    • @TylerEdwards
      @TylerEdwards  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I haven’t run it on a 200D but it should work great on it. I only have a 200x s (key light for this video) and that’s not really optimized for a spotlight anyways so I haven’t tried it with that.

    • @professionaI_yapper
      @professionaI_yapper ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The 200d doesn't push more than the 300c. Both bare bulb, 1 meter, and 5,600K.. You should be good.
