The funniest thing about this comment is, that's what im going for grinding this out, lmao. I spent about 6 hours going for the stuff to make it and this seems like it could be quicker
I just got this bastard to spawn. Did this alternating between both groups. It took about two hours to spawn, so I wasn't paying attention until Balthier took a rock to the head. Stole a empyreal soul and mega elixir while it dropped everything when I killed it. Two hours for a battle that didn't even last two minutes but it was worth it though.
I love you!!! Did the same, got my 1st drop in... 10 minutes? To save a little clicking, I used nearest foe: Break & a 2nd ally with libra until the red chocobo spawned. To kill it, I did the 100 evade/ berserk combo. So easy!
See!! I've been trying to figure out how to spawn it for ages!! You are the first place I've seen that says you can do it after getting Reddas!!! Every other method I've tried has failed, so I look forward to trying it.
Just a friendly word of advice, cast berserk on the level 99 chocobo and then use several times wither on it. The person using wither should equip a cameo belt. That way the enemy loses its attack power.
Great video. Mine spawned after cca 30 min. Thx very much. This is a great help for solo playthrough since its the earliest way how to get Ribbon which is really needed in solo challenge.
@@nalogman but you dont need it that early. Btw i beat the game with Vaan solo including all boses and trial. It was a blasts. My class was RBM/Knight.
In which versions does this method work? I have the Steam version of Zodiac Age. I remember catching it in the original PS2. But this was done from two flocks, and for a very long time
Umm, sometimes there are 2 chocobos spawning when I try this method. Which one should I kill and which one should I petrify? Should I do the similar, killing the chocobo on top list and petrify the bottom one?
Sometimes I get 2 or 3 chocobos re-spawning instead of just 1 after the initial 3. How do I deal with that situation? Kill the top and "break" the the bottom,as with initial 3 or zone out? Also with the initial 3,sometimes the top A/B/C becomes the bottom and the bottom A/B/C becomes the top because they are running and attacking! Zone out again? Then there's that hunter that shows up uninvited! Should I worry about him? Zone out again!!!!

Are you playing the PS4 version or not? If you are, then you can easily manipulate this using the FF12RNGHelper. One other thing that he forgot to mention before you get only 1 chocobo to respawn using Break/Petrify, is to just keep the bottom one alive the top two will come back twice before never coming back again.

I spawn one yesterday and steal from him Empyreal Soul and he dropped RIBBON!!! I kicked his ass only with Balthier equipped with Gandarme Shield and Great Trango sword. Question is if is possible to spawn him 2 times more to get 2 Ribbons more...
Risk Vauxhall I believe just like the original game the creature always respawns. That was a method I did gave each of my party members ribbons and that was the easiest way of getting a ribbon.
in the original version of the game, the best way to get ribbon easy is the treasure in henne mines . it has 55℅ to spawn and 25℅ to be a ribbon. and it's infinite. . :) . I got 3 ribbons in less than an hour by respawning the chest .

I can't use the rng manipulation on the switch lol but i have tried it and kept the bottom one alive but the two others keep popping up. It's very frustrating 😂 but i finished the game and maybe I'll try to do this some other day. Thank you for your help and reply I appreciate it

And make sure the targeted party member has high evade?
finally got it to show up. you have to petrify the bottom one on the attack menu and kill the top two on the attack menu
Works fine. Got it after 10 min.
Keep in mind it’s a 0,3% chance
i tried the chain method, chained over 250 and couldnt get it lol

You can get ribbon more early in cerobi stepe

To think that in Final Fantasy Tactics you can find a group of these Chocobos in random battles
and they wipe you out with chococomet. Was so pissed off when I ran into them at the waterfall.

spawned mine roughly after stoning 25 chocobos
Reddas is no more in my party.

Does the weather screw this up? Its cloudy weather for me and i haven't had much luck spawning him. Does it need to be sunny weather on Ozmone Plains?

Must reddas be in your party in order to spawn it? What about after reddas died after the events of ridorana, can the red bird still be spawned?
it will keep spawning. Reddas is not the cause of Red Chocobo spawns.

When you say bottom, do you mean the one furthest from the jahara map exit?
The bottom one of the list when you choose the target to attack

No. The reason for Reddas is that you can only spawn the chocobo after the events that he joins your party, AKA where the strahl can fly in jagd.

You can but it won't help you. The lv. 99 Red Chocobo will only appear from the one I isolate of the three.

It's a 1 in 256 chance. It's all based on how lucky you are. This method will always work.
