16th Light Anti-Aircraft Battery, 3rd AA Regiment (RCA) in 1940, Windsor, Ontario

This unit, formed in Vancouver from elements of 1 AA Regt and 1 S/L Regt (formerly BC Hussars), trained in Windsor ON before deploying overseas. This film, from 1940, shows this time in Ontario. Other units pictured include The Essex Scottish, The Essex Tank Regt, and the Veteran's Guard. Officers shown include Maj E.D.J. Edmonds, CO of 16 LAA, LCol Greisinger of the Essex Scottish (area commandant), and LCol Ker, CO of 3 AA Regt, of which the 16th was one battery.
