Agreed this is complete BULLSHIT, I ordered a Banshi22 and it cam in within 9 months which i thought was good and was happy with BUT, I have been waiting over 14 months for the Banshi30 and Banshi45 I ordered, if they can do a 90 day turn around NOW they should have been able to clear mine at least 6 months ago. NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER HERE!!! i called in today to check on order and they keep telling me it should come through any day now. The old process should have been cleared complete before new 90 day deal went through! Hey I guess GOOD for you SC,,,the rest of us can just wait and hope to receive a product I paid for back in December of 2020.
I continue to not believe that the new process is going to be better. I got another email today from Silencer Central saying my paperwork is still being reviewed. Even if it was approved TODAY, you need to add a month for the ATF backend process and another 2+ weeks for Silencer Central to process it and ship it to my door. That makes the BEST-case scenario March 7th. That is 416 days from placing the order to receipt. Silencer Central makes a fine product but it ain’t worth $1,000+ for the item and $200 Tax and 416 or more days of waiting! This is for the most law-abiding and responsible people who have squeaky clean records. Despite what is being portrayed, I have no hope that the new process will really do anything to measurably improve on this! Buyer beware.
I want to be sure there is no confusion about my comments. My interactions with Silencer Central have always been very good, the people are nice and they make a fine product as evidenced by my previous purchase. They are at the mercy of a cumbersome process just as we are. However, there are few material things worth paying for upfront and waiting 416 or more days to get. A silencer is not worth enough for me to endure this process again. I am sure SC has the best of intentions when they describe this new process but, in this day and age, will it actually work out that way? Hope it does, but it is not enough to entice me to try again..
As you mentioned above, we are at the mercy of the ATF and unfortuanlty to paper process wait time has become rediculous. We are just as frustrated about it as you are about the timeline. Thankfully with the new eform process we just saw a suppressor from an eform order to approval fall under 90 days and belive this will be the new normal for suppressor orders.
