Was telling my roommates son about this old meme, who at 19 missed this golden era. Found this and he found it quite funny. Back then, I had only heard of Photoshop, but just couldn't wrap my head around how all these pics were made....and now, all these years later I've used Photoshop a millions times, but still see how well those were made....and using what, version 6.0 probably....so great.
I'm thankful to have been a kid in the pre-internet era, but the excitement of the early days of the web really couldn't be beat. Especially when broadband slowly became a thing and flash animation was the new frontier. It really was a golden age of humor and experimentation. Now people dance and cry on TikTok.
@@xenxander This original video came out in 2001. Photoshop 7 came out in March of 2002, so they would have used 6, or even less, depending on what version each person was using back then.
Wow. The memories. This sums my LAN party days perfectly. This and some of the early AMV’s were the soundtrack of late nights on pizza and bourbon. Thanks mate for uploading this.
Oh man, the nostalgia. Those were different times, just needed some Newgrounds and lolsorandom humor and a Mountain Dew with Runescape open and you were living high.
What kind of a dumb ass question is that? Good music is good forever, it doesn't get worse over time. Why on earth would you think it would? It's not like music is constantly getting better and better as time advances. Think about what you're saying before you say it.
I agree. Of all the memes, this one is the most classic. This one deserves Congressional treatment! Preserve this beautiful memory in the annuls of history!
This music is really nice as just a remixed video-game sound track. It contains but also mixed well original Zerowing "Intro", "Open Your Eyes"(Stage 1) music, and adds some Gabba things, I think. This work really makes me existing. I'm so happy for I could listen this music again.
Way before TH-cam was the twinkle in someone's eye. The fact that we could share flash videos online with a dial-up connection was a magnificent feat by itself. Video sharing was made possible with how versatile and small .swf files could be.
Truly a simpler time for memes. I miss those times memes now are complete trash and not even remotely amusing. Bring back the old days of memes like this one. Truly the one that started it all.
I remember first seeing this meme like over 15 years ago with TH-cam's old crummy quality and the worst speakers imaginable, is like a rite of passage for many kids on the internet, but this HQ version really brings this piece of internet culture back to its glory and listening the song now with some quality earphones have let me experience the thumping backgroung song in all its glory, and also this is a great way to find all those memes in the best of qualities, kudos!
You cut the best part of all, the surprise ending that anyone on DDR would always fail when doing this song... "Ba,ba,ba,ba,ba,ba,ba,ba,ba,base , you have no chance to survive, make your time"
If I were to establish a vector using a simple notation. For instance, VECTOR = {2,1,0,1}. Then, for instance, you might say that the continuous mapping theorem seems somewhat dubious.
I would consider objections to recent works. For instance, those of Sir Wiles about the Fermat's Theorem. So, then, the non-Euclidean Geometry, it suggests that the spaces may be objectionable in some volumetric way.
This is not the original version. At the very end, there was a Coda that had a fast-paced montage of meme gifs and a soundtrack to go with it, with a voice track that said “For great justice.... you have no chance to survive... make your time.... “ then the outro that is played on this video. Most videos of this meme omit that proper Coda for some reason.
I literally loaded up the original flash video in a flash emulator and recorded the whole thing. Are you sure that someone didn't add that part at the end later?
This video is a big part of internet meme history and deserves preservation. Thank you.

This meme was cemented as eternally timeless by this genuinely incredible song.

In around 20078 , photosuite CS2 was out, cS3 the following year or two.. so unlikely it was version 6 at that time.

Who is coming here in 2023 to rock out to this shit?
Someone posted the meme, thus was I obliged to partake once again.

Crazy. I remember how much this renovated my universe back in 2000, or whenever it was I burned up hours worth of my 56K modem to download it.
A timeless masterpiece that I’ll surely introduce to my 2 year old nephew at some point.
Oh man, I want to to print that Cats Man of the Year _Times Magazine_ image, frame it and put it on my wall.
You forgot the last part where it goes "BASEBASEBASEBASEBASEBASEBASEYOUHAVENOCHANCETOSURVIVEMAKEYOURTIME"
Left off for the credits, but to make up for it the background was a run of Zerowing, the video game whose weirdass intro sparked this whole meme.
He did. That sucks.
@@tranz2deep Actually, that was a BAD thing that he did. It distracts from the video.

Power of nostalgia, perfectly made Photoshop and sheer absurdity of a classic internet meme

Just here to announce that GOG now has the game as of today.
Credit should go to the Something Awful forums as that's where this originated, newgrounds was a re-host.
DJ Jeffrey Ray Roberts should be acknowledged for contributing to meme history. It's unfortunate he passed away in 2011.
