I don't know if they all come this way, but mine (LG) comes in a left hand version. Guys probably know that a left hand conventional is the SAME as a right hand spinner. So I pull with my stronger right arm--I'm both right handed AND have a permanent injury to my left--and I turn the crank with my left. My Release (also called Truth or Seigler) LG--left hand is a great reel. tons of drag, and as smooth as I have ever felt

Hand made in Virginia Beach. I have about 10 of these and they are GREAT reels with very good support.

I bought two SGN models. One SPJ version. One standard. One failed out of the box. Clicker would not disengage and the drag was inconsistent. Second one failed on the first fish. Drag turned into free spool on it’s own. After fiddling with the lever and tensioner a few times with the fish still on the line I eventually was able to obtain drag and retrieve the fish. Bad luck? I don’t know, but I won’t ever try them again.

What? "700 yards of 20 pound mono or 800 yards of 80 pound mono" I would like to know what brand of 80 pound mono you are using. Or is it a case of "words are hard"?

Great reels. I have the SGN for bottom fishing here in the NE. Question about the Big Game reel you showed. 700 yds of 20 mono or 800 of 80? Is that right? Thanks.

What comes with the sgn ? Do I need to buy a real seat etc ?

It comes ready to fish. All you need to do is line it up and put it on your rod.

The SGN comes with the reel seat, and holds plenty of line. I’ve caught 40lb kingfish and cobia on them, no problems.

They're garbage. Bought a small game from Tackle direct as a BACKUP for flounder. It was on two trips with no action at all, zero. The third trip tried to use, and free spool wasn't right. I sent it to Seigler, Virginia Beach. They got back to me saying the thruster bearing and something else was bad. Had to pay $68 to fix it and send it back to me. Life time warranty my foot. Buy something else.
