I want to make something clear, people can easily get confused with these titles and think everything is broken. I believe this weapon is neither broken or underpowered. It is currently in a good spot and despite the showcase, it is not the easiest weapon to use properly. I like it in its current form.

Serpent gods curved sword has the same healing effect as blasphemous but weighs less
blashpemous eels more so it might be more worth it if you have equip load to spare
I fucking LOVE this weapon, especially running it with raging beast. There's so much mixup potential and chase potential, especially since the raging beast aow has s and such ridiculous mobility. Between the r1s, running r2 and r1 and crouch attack mix, the second r2, the r2 feint attack, and the bleed, it feels like this weapon was designed for hyper aggressive play and using every tool in ur kit to completely prevent an enemy from being able to react.
Really cool just watch out for large weapons

The move-set is a bit awkward to play with at first but once you overcome that you got yourself a brutal weapon to play with
the equivalent of that helmet for str is the horned warrior helm and for dex there's the cursed blade mask both gives 5 levels, and they weight less than the beast head.
also another good replacement for the blasphemous blade for low endurance players is the serpent-god's CS, it gives you less hp regen tho.
The big hornsent guys in the divine beast area have helmets that give +5 str at the expense of reduced flask heals. The cursblade also drops a similar helmet but +5 dex also with reduced healing
Still not as bad as swift strikes

When the NPC that drops this attacked me I thought it was mega broken due to the insanely good tracking and lunge toward the target. The damage was also high. But then I used it on pvp and it seems quite balanced
Glad you're using these early on too, they're the first weapon I found going in and still by far my favorite, although I've barely scratched the surface of the DLC. I'm in love with the cold infusion on these literal beasts myself
Tip for catching people who try to space standing r1/running r1 by running backwards: unlock. They get a significantly longer initial leap, and if the opponent tries to strafe for a backstab, you can simply turn 90 degrees mid animation and stop them.
Also unlocking and aiming the second part of the r2 to the left slightly will let you go further forward, instead of simply curving to the right like it does with no input.
Also also, you probably know this, but the r2 can be cancelled like on Great katanas.

man i'm all in with slight hidden buffs like the storm aow one but stats boosting equipment kills any kind of fashion and this one is beyond any reasonable standard of ugliness
doesnt the helmet reduce estus flask heal by about 20%? found this out when looking at my buffs and it was holding me back from progressing in pve lol

The new helmet gets countered by sleep grease. You lose a lot of focus with it.
im checking on doing a 40 arcane 50 dex 60 vig 12 faith 30 end on a bandit/wretch character at 138 with your same helmet for that exact weapon, i used a lot of raptor talons and i love the claws moveset, wish me luck :D
U probably know this, but i didn't see it in the vid, but you can actually roll out of savage claws after the first 4 hits. It's rly good since you dont have to always commit and risk getting punished/blendered by the other players.
This is the kind of weapon that will make dedicated ganks disgusting to deal with
I found the milady to be a good counter to beastclaw wielding phantoms because it attacks almost as fast but has longer reach.
It's because even though you don't hit them they can't dodge blood flames effect so they either get hit or passively bled

Sacrificial axe has the same effect for fp and serpent cs has the same effect with hp and u can use them and infuse them for the the build jic u need extra hp/fp… im using in my pve run

Yes. Also, this comes prepackaged with a good Ash that you can change the infusion on (seems best Heavy or Blood), and there's another Ash that's really good for it later on in the DLC. Both Ashes on the weapon emphasize a really, really aggressive play style, trying not to leave your opponents room to breathe. It feels more or less balanced compared to other DLC weapons, though, so I love it.

For my build, I use hook claws with blood flame enchant and bloodhound step. Would these claws be an upgrade from that? or nah?

That Bloodfiend Arm is COMICALLY broken right now, PVE and PVP. A single hit proc's bleed every time. Thank god it's held back by the colossal moveset because that's probably the only thing holding it back

Idk how strong rakshasa's great katana is in PVP.. But so far in PVE it has been absolutely busted lol.
The fp cost is extremely low, you can just spam until your stamina is gone. You cover a decent amount of range, have a ton of hyper armor during it.

You can farm for the smaller helmet from the big annoying assholes, i think it only gives 3/3 so slightly less optimelle but the fashion is +15

The fact that this weapon do very little dmg poise makes it quite bad sadly. At least the AoW makes it playable. I hope they buff the poise dmg. This weapon dies to high poise player using fast weapon
