TO RESET WITHOUT KNOWING THE CODE: unplug the keypad power (i think its a 12 pin 6x2 black molex type) then from that plug, find the wires coming off the end of it that are BROWN, WHITE, and WHITE WITH YELLOW STRIPE. Cross those 3. Then plug the device in once you have them connected. This will put you into programming mode.\ from there type (NEW CODE) * (NEW CODE) * and then * to exit. all done.
After the door latch time you did #1#, is this the numer for the code? IE code number 1? I am trying to setup different codes with different intervals, sort of like a Main and Secondary codes so they can be reset individually.
Jeff, let's get back to the Amana ptacs. My thermistors are good but when I put it on heat and let it run for awhile I wake up the next day and it's running cold. What's the problem?
Hey Geoff, I am a new (less than 3 weeks) maintenance director at an assisted living/memory care facility in Mississippi. On TELS one of the monthly tasks is to change the door codes. We are using the first IEI keypad you showed. I changed all but the last one. It's always the last one that's a PIA. When I press 99# then enter the current pass code, then the star, the door opens. Any idea what I need to do to get past this point?
Also a maintenance director at a dementia facility, I’m sure you figured the problem out by now lol but I had a door just a few days ago doing the same thing. Gonna leave this here for future folks, there’s a button on the back of the panel that you can push and type a code in to completely reset it. Then it should function as normal with the master default code.
If you forgot the master code or it is not working, momentarily push SW1, (see wiring diagram for location) to enter programming mode and go to option #19 on the Programming Options chart to default keypad. SW 1 is located on the circuit board most likely you will have to take the keypad out and press the switch sw1 small little button hold it down for 2 secs then follow step 19 in the manual
gotta cross some harness wires while its hooked up. i had to call iei for a walkthrough. it worked for me. cant recall which. brown white white yellow something.

Could be the high limit switch.

Mine also just unlocks the door after putting in 99# then the old code. How do i get around that?
