Taking the opportunity to ask a technical question, of course if you can answer, what are the sound differences between a 14 x 6.5 snare and a 14 x 7 snare? Is there much difference in your opinion? Let's assume that both are made of the same material.

Not a huge difference. The 7x14 will have a slightly bigger sound and a little more volume headroom.
