Comparing Iron 2 vs Electric Sunburst Guitar Plugins
    IRON2: bit.ly/ujam-iron2

While I find I love almost everything about Kontakt, and have used it since Studio One 2, I really don't care for Native Instruments' libraries.
uJam, on the other hand, I find everything about their plugins a joy to work with. The interface is so easy to navigate, and even easier to get the exact sounds you want with minimal tweaking or searching.

Totally agree about UJAM. By the way I’m an official reseller so if you want to buy UJAM plugins let me know or check my shop.

Nice comparison, but there is something very special about UJAM's Iron you missed. You can dampen the guitar gradually with the mod wheel. With Sunburst it is either or. THat's the reason why I think you can get more realistic performances out of IRON2, especially when you play it yourself, not with the integrated Player. You can even decide which strings you want to strum. However, Sunburst has the better integrated amp tones. Anyway, I never use them. I switch to DI-output and follow that with a amp/cabinet of my own arsenal.

Good point about the mod-wheel. Indeed pretty cool feature.

Hi 👋🏻 I own this plugin and love the sounds, but I have huge phase issues when I use the doubling option on the guitars . Do you know how to fix? They sound great in stereo but so weak in mono due to it

    • @UDiAudio
      @UDiAudio  ปีที่แล้ว

Use the plugin in stereo and try to dial in the double slowly. if you use in mono I suggest not to double as it will definitely sound bad.

I would buy it right now it's on sale for $19 on plugin boutique, but it requires internet and my studio computer it's set to be offline due to security protocols and to prevent client data from being shared to The internet by bad software.

I suggest contacting UJAM and ask them if you can do offline activation.

@UDiAudio I was typing to submit a request when I saw documentation on their website explaining how to install on offline studios.

The sunburst deluxe will play pre-written midi. But looks like the ujam products will only play midi in 2 or so octaves and the other octaves are all designated for key switches?..

UJAM guitars are not designed for playing note by note. these libraries are great to get you started or come up with a chord progressions. but they are definitely not for realistic guitar playing.

I want to like the Ujam guitar instruments because they seem easier to use, but there are a couple minor issues. First, the key switches default from C0 - F5, but most midi controllers are 61 or less keys starting at C1. So, either you have to octave down/up or have an 88 key controller. It’s just not practical. Second, one stomp box at a time? What if I want chorus, delay and distortion? Limiting the stomp boxes to just one-at-a-time is a real weakness compared to NI. I’m inclined to use Guitar Rig or Amplitube as an audio FX plugin.

I understad your point but that's how UJAM are. They don't have a the usual FX chains but with the combination of the stompbox and finisher effect you can get really cool sounds and vibe.

I prefer UJAM IRON 2 - much easier and way better workflow.... I use my own vst guitar amps with this. (tip)
I hate Kontakt an NI´s customer behaviour. You are forced to upgrade, K7 are buggy, and so on.

      HI Chris
You can program midi to play both. Not ideal and there are better options in my view but definitly part of both products.|
In UJAM Iron2 you can switch to instrument mode and play the notes (11:28) and in NI Electric Sunburst you can select one of the melody presets (10:14). For some more realistic guitars check my shop for musiclab myaudio.studio/musiclab
