    This is one of the most comprehensive guides about this plugin! 🎉 Thank you so much for your contribution-I’m having a great time with this plugin! 😊

    You really have a nice touch with playing a “guitar like” part. I often see people demonstrating an instrument as if it were a piano with block chords in root position. You also have a very economical narrative style when you explain the functions of the plugin..no fluff, to the point. Well done! One minor comment… a touch of de-tuning combined with a similar amount of humanising rhythmn does help to make it sound slightly less “ suspiciously perfect” 😀

  • @tiersaudio335
    @tiersaudio335 4 ปีที่แล้ว +10

    If you are considering buying this, do it. This is something that sits in the mix perfect with literally no mixing out of the plugin. Speeds up writing and helps with creativity. Can never replace a real guitar, but this thing is amazing.

Like Andrew Taylor said below, he's got a solid understanding on 'how to play' this library so it's believed that it is a real Electric Guitar. Much respect to HIFIMIDI.

    I hope someone can see this since the video is a bit old now. I just got it and have a really annoying problem. I have a melody I want to use, but the instrument keeps switching to tremolo and not open and it is driving me insane. I have no clue how to make it stop doing it. I looked in the manual and found no mention of it. I have d# in the melody, and the tremolo seems to be set to it but I cannot find how to change it. Its seems to be only doing it with midi notes in my piano roll and not while playing on my midi instrument

    According to you, do such sounds need additional mixing? Thanks

    • @hifimidi
      @hifimidi  4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Always. Mixing is adjusting the volume of all track levels to achieve balance between them. That’s always necessary with any sound source. The same concept applies to EQing. An instrument may sound perfect by itself, but it may conflict/compete with others harmonically. It’s always best to mix and eq as part of the audio engineering stage.

    deciding if i should get this, RealLPC, or the orange tree rock standard. any advice? also considering the ample sound library.
    thanks

    • @hifimidi
      @hifimidi  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      What is going to be your primary use for it? Real LPC is very versatile, has many articulations and is rock solid, but it can sometimes lack that organic sound. I've never tried OTS rock standard, but they're sound is very organic. However, they sometimes lack in strumming and automatic string switching, which RealLPC and AGLP have. That gives it a more realistic tone. AGLP is very organic sounding as well because of the articulations, sampling of all strings and frets, and fx, however it can take some time get used to the controls since it tries tackling strumming and riffs. They're all good in some way. I suppose you're back in the same spot.
      Fortunately, you can tryout LPC and AGLP. The others, you can't. Good luck!

    • @hifimidi
      @hifimidi  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I didn't really give my thoughts on this library. It's very versatile, though it seems to lack in articulations. it has very limited strumming abilities, monophonic melodies are very limited. However the pre-recorded patterns and riffs are very realistic. It's great for simple stuff.

    • @finypri
      @finypri 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@hifimidi thank you for the reply, I really appreciate it!-- but to answer your question, I was mostly going to use it for lead. however, at least looking for something that can sound organic while playing a few rhythm parts. I guess versatility would be the main thing. I am for the most part a piano player, and understand that most of these VST's have a learning curve to make it sound more "authentic". I was just looking for an affordable guitar library that I can be used for most genres, but specifically R&B. Again, thank you! Any input helps at this point.

    Not sure this is a vintage model, or even a real Gibson, not that it matters a ton. The associated available pics show different guitars, with and w/o a poker chip, white vs black pickup rings. Don’t see any fret nibs, and the only clear view of the bridge look like a Nashville style, making it 1975+ if it is a Gibson.
