It was all handheld too. As you know, I'm in the habit of forgetting camera mounts and this trip was no different. I forgot the screw to attach the camera to the gimbal...
Very nice Alan! I actually stumbled on Palmers when I was down in that area about a year ago. Nice breakfast after a sunrise shoot. ;-) Looked like you were on the boneyard beach at Jekyll. Been trying to get a 'photographer's' perspective on how it's looking after last year's hurricane. Still a good target for photos?
It still has good potential for photographs. I only took the single composition because the sun rose quickly, but there were many other spots that were shootable.
I really enjoy your video and it makes me wanna see the result from that shot
Looked like you had a great time. Will you be sharing the photo you took?
Smooth as butter - that camera work is awesome!!

SSI is my home away from home. Love it down there. And those shots from driftwood beach with the shrimp boat were amazing!!!
Thanks! We love St. Simons and Jekyll. Always vacationed there as a family growing up.
You can fly??? That opens up all kinds of photography doors to remote areas! Great video/photography. Been missing seeing your presence on TH-cam!
I can! I've been a pilot for around 9 years now. I've got big plans for this year's trip to Zion...;)
Great production! You've stepped up your game a bunch since I last saw one of your vids! Great job!
Thanks!! I may not post a lot, but I am always working on ways to make the videos I do post better.
So beautiful!
Thanks!!
I’d love more of this
I gotta admit, it was a lot of fun filming and creating this. More of a typical vlog look, but I enjoyed it.
Looks awesome. Looking forward to see the "actual" video. :)
Thanks!! I'll finish putting it together ASAP!

Thanks. Sounds like I need to head that direction. ;-)
Epic! Where do you live? (aka how long a flight)
I live in East Tennessee. It was exactly 2 hours en route. Much better than the almost 8 hour drive!
That's amazing! Do you partially own the plane then too?
Yes, I own it with two other people. It's a really good partnership and keeps the costs manageable.
Very nIce and nice camera work :) That doesn't look like the Intrepid, did you keep your other camera or is this a new beast?
This is the Shen Hao. I took it along because I knew I would need its bright screen for the sunrise shot.
You chocked it, but didn't tie it down?
No, the ramp was pretty full and they were going to move it later in the day.
Jet Set Lifestyle. :-)
Just livin' large off of all this TH-cam money! :)
Is that the King and the Prince hotel? Honeymooned there many moons ago.
It is. We didn't stay there this time, but I have stayed there once before. Beautiful place.
