    My Dad had a vision when we moved there in 1947. Such a great beautiful and safe place to grow up.

      I don't know if you mean literally or figuratively or both when you say your dad had a vision ?
      ... but it sounds like a really cool place to live and it must have really been wonderful back in 1947 and I would imagine until the 1980s and then maybe it started to become a little less friendlier ?

      @@guardianjl9574but I hear it's changed a lot and that it's lost a lot of its charm because of the yuppies and their attitude and some of the rich people ... heard the place just used to be a lot more friendlier and that now it has a bit of an attitude

      @@rickzepeda4403we actually stayed with some people in Marysville for about a week back in August of 1998 ... flew to Seattle from Philly .
      I don't really remember much about Marysville , just that it was where my boyfriend's Dad and stepmother and half-brother lived .
      But I don't remember Marysville being anything really special .

    island books has been around forever and is definitely a staple. mi is a wealth haven at this point. i sound like an old man, but it has changed drastically over the past 10 years. what was once very idyllic, low key, and understated has become modernized and stingy. however I don't doubt that mi could and probably will become a classic place to live. RIP youth theater

      Oh my God you just answered a question that I sort of put forth to somebody else in the comments who said that their father had a vision when he moved there in 1947 and she said it was a great place to grow up .
      I actually said I could imagine how wonderful it was back in 1947 there and in the 50s 60s and 70s ... probably up until the 1980s .
      I'm assuming that's when it started the change and when the yuppies started the takeover ... they ruin everything don't they with their attitude ?
      What you're saying is exactly what I pictured happened to that place ... and I've never been there but anytime there's a place that's wonderful and magic and is the best kept secret that yuppies come and ruin it and then the richest of them show up and really suck the magic and life out of it

    • @gardensofthegods
      @gardensofthegods 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I wrote you a reply and it vanished . I said it must have been wonderful living there earlier on and you sort of answered a question that I had asked somebody in another comment on this vid where they said their father had a vision when he moved there in 1947 and I said it must have been really magical back then and in the 1950s and 60s and 70s up until the 1980s ... ?
      I would imagine that's about when the yuppies started to take over and they love to find the most magical places that are a best kept secret and then infiltrate and take it over and suck the magic and the life out of it ... especially when you get some of the super rich ones .
      I'm not saying all people with money are like that but when you get people with that yuppie attitude ... that is the worst .
      I'm sorry it's changed a lot but I'm not surprised ... seams there's less and less places any more that are really cool and beautiful and magical and stay that way .

      No doubt it's probably changed a lot and isn't as wonderful and magical because of how some people suck the magic out of a place

      Sometimes as you get older , you sometimes learn to appreciate what it means to live in a so called boring place : peaceful place and peace of mind .
