That's how the food chain works. Do you feel the same way when a different bird of prey eats squirrel babies? No matter how repulsed we might feel, this is how nature operates and it's the order that keeps things in balance.

Did the squirrel bite the baby bird?
yes also bit the egg when he came back a second time

Birds don't carry their babies or their eggs, the baby bird was opening its beak like that because it was dying
My guess is that the squirrel bit into the baby bird and punctured the internal organs causing internal bleeding
@@AnchorOfTime the bird did both and i have video of it in fact the bird is carrying the baby in this clip.

Sadly eggs and baby birds are easy targets for squirrels a good source of protein ect
Squirrels are opportunistic meat eaters, and baby birds are easy targets for food.

They have no ability to bury it. They just drop it far away from the nest.
O esquilo mordeu o filhote do pássaro, eu acredito que a mãe levou o filhote praticamente morto para o jogar fora do ninho.
Where???
@ezstreete It doesn't matter where. If the chick is dead, it needs to be out of the nest so as not to contaminate it.
Squirrels destroy trees too. Never liked grey squirrels.
👍🤟
She didn’t carry it away from harm,it was dead. She dumped it out of the nest.
That's fake news the momma bird brought the baby to the hospital 🏥
Squirrels do eat bird eggs. The baby looked like it was gasping its last breath, maybe mom was disposing of it. How could she carry away an egg?
Shelley, she picks up the egg by where the squirrel puncture the egg. Yes, correct the squirrel did bite into it.
