What's it Like in Koh Mook? - Trang | THAILAND

  • Getting across to Koh Mook from Trang is really easy. We booked to stay at a place Nature Hill and they arranged a minivan and boat pick up service from our hotel in Trang which took us to the pier. (Kuan Tung Pier) This cost 250 thb per person. ( £5.60) Once at the pier we caught a boat across to Koh Mook.
The island is small and while we were there it was extremely quiet. The water here is incredibly clear, perfect for snorkelling or just relaxing while taking in the beautiful view.
There are no cars on the island. You can find either bicycles or motorcycles. It's very easy to get around on foot. Make sure you remember to take some money with you as we only saw one ATM and it could only be used with a Krungsri account. ( Thai bank)

Good tip about the ATM. We might have missed up and arrived penniless. Love your drone shots this episode! The island looks so amazing! I love how you were welcomed by dogs and children. What a warm welcome! I've never done Thailand without AC though! I don't think we can do that part. The island is very beautiful but rustic. Good find guys!

It was lovely turning up to that welcome. No AC became a bit of a problem for me after four days so we left early. ( we were meant to stay for 7 days) Lesson learned.;-)

That is always so TRICKY! Especially if you are in a new place and the ATM that is there is not for you to use... The pier is stunning and love that you were able to get a drone shot! So nice that you are sharing your accommodation with us as well! Too bad no AC. Love that the WIFI speed is FAST! We have dealt with SLOW and it's the worst! You guys are adorable and LOVEEEE your energy together!
You guys are literally on the beach all by yourselves!! So nice to be walking around town and enjoying street food too! It looks so hot, we're just SWEATING! OMGGGGGG You're GOING To KOH SAMUI! Can't wait to watch!

@@AlwaysonaJourney this is what Ko Pha Ngan was like, a loooong time ago. Imagine Haad Rin like this? Late 80s early 90s. Before the bucket heads and the broboy full mooners. Was a paradise

I always enjoy your videos they make me relaxed and happy, always leave me wanting more. I hate Prawns (had to cook so many in my Mum's French and seafood restaurant and the smell put me off, but love other seafood). Looking forward to seeing where you end up on Samui. I also watched some ads for you every little bit helps.

Thanks Jacques! We are both grateful for all of your comments. I've tried bits of seafood over the years and my opinion never changes. It's not for me. :-) are you a good cook?

It looks very peaceful and relaxing. I think the other resort would work your place looked nice but a little too rustic for me 555. What l like about you two is when you show vendors you always buy something.

Ron we left that place three days early. There were too many insects and I needed some Aircon. Nice for two or three days.

Thanks for sharing. Nice to hear a North East accent I'm from Gateshead. I did the Trang Islands back in 2018 ( Mook Ngai and Kraden) as a solo traveller.
Stayed next door to your accommodation in Koh Mook ! Brought back some fond memories.
In high season ( Feb ) there are a lot more water activities on the beach.
I hired a kayak and went to Emerald cave from the beach...a day I'll never forget.

Wow interesting...who ever thought of having an island with only one ATM and no International transactions. Seems a recipe for an epic disaster. Also a money making opportunity for someone. Cheers!
