If they have to pay 5 more players anyways it's in their best interest to get the five best available. A better player only costs more money if other teams are competing for that contract. And besides, I think you are heavily undervaluing having a full sub-squad/developing players. How do you think C9 got a player like Contractz and CLG got players like Huhi and Stixxay?
Banana Gaming Theres obviously a minimum wage for pro players which is probably over 70k a year. Most random soloqueing kids would love that salary with the opportunity of getting picked up.
