I got a 46" Arnold for my Cub Cadet 2yrs. ago, ended up changing out the cotter pins for thicker ones & laid the plow down on a 1/4" strip of wood to adjust the legs. Once assembled it's easy to pull the spring loaded bars to take off & put back on. Soo much easier plowing than shoveling, I also got chains but didn't snow enough to need them.
I have the chains but still waiting on the first snow to use it. I figured I would replace it with a plastic one. You’re right the bolts are a bit questionable.
For ground clearance yes you do. The mower deck is easy to remove. Also look for the follow up video on changes I had to add. Use hitch pins instead of the little ones they give you. Also with snow chains I have pushed as much snow as my neighbors 4 wheeler.

Right there with you. Make sure you put in the extra bolts like I show in last week's video. Also use tire chains

Should say if you have one. Otherwise just measure it.
Check my videos for modifications i have made since i installed the blade and found the weak areas.
