An interesting exercise and not unlike the test on my DSport. That found my warning light was reacting to a pipe blockage in that sensor…a new one cured it for £730!! It sorted it out but I’m glad I’m free of diesel now…I had 20 years of them and mostly really god but my use today is not really dpf friendly! I hope the truck is all good now.😃😃😃😃Richard
Simon watch O'Rileys autos channel. He is a expert on doing dpf issues. Doing a forced regeneration is a temporary fix and can damage the dpf without checking the actual fault first.
In the video you can see the value for the DPF back pressure fall - so i think on this occasion it was a good thing to do. Also it was a few weeks back i did this upgrade - now it works fine and had driven to France and towed a trailer all without issue.
Dont know how the regen works on the later ones of these but the early ones just pump diesel in on the exhaust stroke. Check the oil level after forced regen as it can get diesel in.
These don’t regen normally if the service light is on because the vehicle think the oil is diluted, normally reset the service light and watch the exhaust temperatures on road test should regen on its own.
Very informative. Thank you.
You are welcome!

Nice that the garage allows you to borrow stuff. Nice different video 👍

Yes this is what happens - it dilutes the oil so an oil change after this is very important !
Just about to do this with a launch on a d40, just waiting for a battery. Think mine was showing p2002.
Lovely job Simon 👏👏👏👍👍👍👍
Hi I got a green auto light flashing on my dash looks like the auto start logo what does that mean
Another great video

Morning all!

Interesting ! Anyway happy to have done full regen and oil change !
@@L663 Always use a good quality low saps oil. Cheap oil to the wrong spec will quickly block dpf.
