Enjoy the transcription! Today's sheet music trivia (first to answer correctly gets PDF): *including* the extensions, what chord is being outlined from measures 28 thru 31?
I had a chance to hangout with Marian Mcpartland all evening at the Great American Jazz Piano Competition in Jacksonville Florida. She was so down to earth and very kind. We had so much fun together back then ,in the day. Also Joanne Brackeen and Renne Rosnes was there also, they were all judges for the competition. Joanne Brackeen even gave me her personal phone number , wow that was a great night of jazz female music. 🎹
Thank you so much for this, Timothy. This song is actually part of one of my favorite movies ever ("Butch Cassidy & Sundance Kid", it plays during a scene of bicycle riding), and this particular rendition brings the image of a couple cycling in the summer woods to my mind. It was a pleasure, as always. 🙂
I remember reading an article about this tune when it was popular. The writer said it was one of the most requested songs at piano bars, and that pianists dreaded it because “...no matter how hard you try, it always sounds trite and shallow” or words to that effect. The melody as written is resolutely unpianistic. Marian plays it in a beautiful reflective way, but I doubt her rendition would have satisfied the boozy insurance salemen and middle managers who bellowed “How about a little “Raindrops”? at happy hour back then.

I loved how she would say the word 'tune'. I can hear her distinct pronunciation bouncing in my head right now. This arrangement is simply sublime.
Great to see some Marian McPartland! She deserves a ton of respect
So glad to come across this! I used to listen to Marian every Saturday night on public radio. Love her style!

@@mckaycoombs2338 I mistakenly wrote measure 8-31, meant 28-31!

Excellent played 🎹🎶👏
Light hearted song, not heard for quite a while
Love your work on these. I need to learn something jazzy. I'm too classically trained.
This is a great one for the classical pianists!
We don't academia-shame here :-D

Thanks!!! Could you please transcript Silent Night cover by Samthebeardguy? Merci!
Hi, I really fell in love with this recording. Do you know where I can find the original?
This was a radio-exclusive, I'm adding the link in the description.
@uklum I came back here to ask because I obviously couldn't find it by myself
What's the name of the intro song?
All I Do (Stevie Wonder) played by Cory Henry :) I've transcribed the whole thing.

Nice. Do a Beegie Adair since you are doing great female pianists who have passed.
Pizza time!

Demasiado sosa, en un ritmo donde pierde completamente su esencia esa hermosa canción.
Lovely playing and transcription 😄 But I do wish you didn’t overlay that noisy redundant “like & subscribe” reminder.
Peter Parker says yes.
Snowflakes keep falling on my head
Intro is distracting! Great otherwise!

This version was very underwhelming to me. Just a tad boring...
