The Colts have 3 guys busting their ass on D and I'm not sure what the rest are doing.
They don't gang tackle,you see two or three guys hopping around the the tackle like they are on it but don't make any contact to stop the ball carrier

With a 50% completion % and averaging twice as many ints than tds (1.5 ints to less than 1 td per game) the Dolphins want Richardson to throw it too.

Alec Pierce doesn't get enough credit for his down field blocking skills. He's no Hines Ward, but he's pretty darn good.
100% right. Pierce has become a craftsman at all aspects of his profession. Pittman is similarly driven.

AR needs to learn to throw short. Him and Pierce work real good cause he can only throw the ball 50+ yards and Pierce is great at catching those throws. Without Pierce AR might be cooked

Even if all Pierce does is run 40 yard fly patterns, it stretches the defense to allow other stuff to work in space.

The Colts can win this game. You have to have the coverage to pull AR quickly if he is not consistent with the offense.
We like designed runs. Keep doing them they win games. Learn to slide and you’ll be fine
Sliding in traffic is not effective. Designed runs get Richardson hurt. Are you a Dolphins or Texans fan?

Kent... I like your optimism on AR but.....he has not proven he has learned how to make good decisions in terms of protecting himself. You are saying the same things we all thought and hoped he would do better at coming into the year....make good choices...dont put yourself in a position to take a big hits...slide when necessary etc..AND...this is the biggie....AR HAS to be able to make short to mid throws with higher accuracy. I want him to improve and be better in all these areas but more importantly I want the Colts to win period. If AR is not the guy to get W's now then it isnt his time. With Peyton as a rookie you could see him make progress in so many areas and we had reasons to hope in the future.....I am not getting a good feeling that AR will ever be what we all want him to be. I hope I am wrong. Last thing......The Colts Defense is the biggest problem and if we do not win then it will ultimately be due to the fish being able to do what they want and make Huntley look like a stud and score 28 points or more.

Yeah, I think you're wrong after reading your letter. I would say you're wrong because I've seen huge progression since last year. The main difference is he throwing more interceptions. And I've actually thought about this because he did not do this last year. He actually tried hard to protect the ball. I'm pretty sure The coaches have told him to sling the damn ball because he's also pushing the ball deep. Also another thing.He did not do very much last year. every throw is 25 yards plus. On top of that he has shown, he can make every single throw plus throws.We didn't even know existed on top of that.His natural ability to maneuver in the pocket is d*** near unmatched.What is there You're not getting excited about? The dude is averaging one of the highest YPC and YPA. That's signs of greatness.
They should start Flacco for the rest of the year.

They have an excellent bench. It worked for them in the playoffs too, which is usually not the case. Team only has one weakness.

Richardson will not make it to Half Time without getting injured. Why does the terrible BALLARD still have a job. Everyone he drafts is very injury prone and not available in December.
So don't run AR? Ok, we didn't hire Shane and draft a 259lb QB to not run him, and running is the one thing that can save AR.
AR will never be accurate. He holds the ball funny. He holds the elbow low. He's quick cause he kicks it. But accuracy comes from alignment if feet and stepping into target and getting over top of ball in throw. Im not even sure AR can get over too the ball in his throwing the way he holds it.

Funny you mention the "nice guy" deal. He may be a wonderful teammate, I don't know. But his indifference to the media keeps him from being someone I describe as "nice."
He is servicable as a pass rusher. His problem seems to be strength. When he lines up, the pthwr team puts a combo on him and just drive him right up the field, like those blocking sleds
Bryan got a sack. He is good not great and he should be used sparingly
