Removing and Accessing the Main Gearbox on the Demag P Hoist | 1967 to 1986 P Hoist

To continue our series on the Demag P Hoist, Demag Technical Trainer, Andy Rasch, shows you how to remove and access the main gearbox on the 1967 to 1986 P Hoist. This is a common question we get on our technical support line. The design of the P Hoist connects the pumpkin to the hoist body with external bolts. To access the gearbox for maintenance and inspection purposes, there are additional bolts found internally to access the gearbox. The Demag P Hoist was introduced to the North American market around 1961. Even today, there are P Hoists still in service.
