Edgar Mortiz: Alam ko kilalang kilala ako ni Vi, maski matagal na kami di nagkikita, magtinginan lang kami naiintindihan na niya ako parang ganun. Kilala niya ako. Kilala ko si Vi, kung kailan siya nagagalit. Kilala ako ni Vi. Walang bad vibes sa amin dalawa. Importante sa amin yun respeto at pagmamahal. Kung nagmahalan kami di namin sinayang yun. Avid fan ako nina Vi & Bot. Noong high school kami kapag maaga pinapalabas ng teacher deretso kami sa sinehan. Ako sa pelikula ni ate Vi & Bobot at yung sister ko kay Nora Aunor. Paglabas namin ng sinehan away na kami dahil sa mga idols namin hahaha.

Ewan ko, sa totoo lang noong araw kapag naririnig ko ang 'My pledge of love' kakaiba ang feeling. Masarap pakinggan. At kahit ngayon, hindi ko kinahihiyang kantahin. Madaling gayahin at masarap pakinggan.
Kung hindi po ako nagkakamali, hindi ko pa nakikita ng personal si Edgar, Tirzo, Vilma at Nora. Ang natatandaan kong nakita ko, ay ang mga kapatid nila na naging artista na nagtambalan din sa pelikula at mga kanta. Sa Bicol ko po sila nakita.
Maganda ang narrative ni E Mortiz. It’s factual and in chronological order and very honest. You can tell that he’s not hesitant to say it as it is. Na walang kinakahiya or pagsisisi. That’s a very mature approach.

Na alala ko lang 1970's wala pang sing along noon sa amin. Ang yumaong itay ko at ang nanay ko 84 yrs. old na ngayon at kami mga bata pa noon. Nagkakatahan paminsanminsan sa salas sa luma naming bahay na wala na rin ngayon pinatayoan na uli ng kapatid ko. Isa itong My Pledge of Love cannot be broken sa mga paborito nila, minsan may ukulele pa.

So very interesting interview since I’m a die hard Vilma/Edgar fan and follower. I was of an extra in their movie From The Bottom of My Heart. I’m hoping that I’m able to recall/ watch this movie on UTube since they showed those old movies there. My special request please madam Aster Amoyo.
