Where i live in SoCal, you can drop off used oil at most all quick oil change shops. They will gladly dump the old oil at no charge. Great for the GTI owner who does his own work!
Very informative especially the drop in filter part, in my country doing a full intake would void warranty but a drop in filter could be removed before services or warranty claims just for safety
W H E E L S P A C E R S ! ! ! Are also good cheap mods under the comestic list. I might have to look into on getting myself an oil extractor, winter is around the corner.
I did it on my MK8. Drop-in filter and snow guard removal. You get some more sound but nothing major. I honestly think it’ll work better than an open intake because it won’t be as prone to heat soak
Anyone on the comments or if you know info on the sensors for the keyless entry? I keep getting that alert and was told that it is sensors around the car that it can be missing. And also a question about my front bumper. It is an autobahn and I read that the front bumper for that needs to be precise or else front head lights don't work. And yeah headlights don't work properly. Well the daytime running light doesn't work properly. Thanks,
Luckily my car that I bought had the exact drop in filter setup as the guy you talked to near the end. If it didn’t have it I probably would’ve overpaid for a stupid open intake lmao
**usually the way i tell which wheel it is for sure is when turning, harder the better too usually.. if turning left if its the left wheel bearing it will get quiet because the load is taken off that wheel and the force put on the outer wheel.. so if turning right, the force goes on the left wheel, which will usually make the left bearing have more stress on it and be louder but the rt wheel has less stress on it and if that is the one that is bad it will quiet up while turning rt..
Hey Lucas, my 7.5 brakes are super squeaky when the weather is dry out but stops when it rains. I took the car in to VW and they said the pads have plenty of life. The rotors are clean and doesnt show any damage but I want to avoid trouble down the road. What do you recommend?
Hey man, loving the content. I’m looking at getting a 2015 mk7 gti autobahn 6MT with 152k miles. It’s a very good deal price wise. My question is, what maintenance items should I do right away?
you should not get the 6speed, yes i love the manuals but im my opion the dsg is too good and the comfort/chillness of the ride is worth it to stick with the auto, I still love the manuals and still have my manual civic but the dsg is still super fun

Im getting a 2022 GTI in May.. Definitely want to mod it up. Stationed in Germany so I cant wait to have it on the autobahn
Another use for the oil extractor if it comes with the hose and connector is to do brake fluid replacement
I had no idea you could get dsg shiftknobs bro thanks for shining light on that
Right! Me neither, gonna see what’s out there
Well done in the video! Thx for adding in the chapters ...

8:36 HA, hit em where it hurts!
I almost mistook this channel for a Honda channel with this list you gave LOL. Still enjoy your vids though brother. Keep em’ coming!
I know who 👀
So the drop in filter + turbo inlet pipe would do the exact same thing as the intake but cheaper? As in you'd get the wooshy woosh sounds?
same in performance but probably not as much sound as an open intake
TH-cam pikey r600 mod 👍🏻

Love the video. Just got a mk7 on Wednesday
Glad I could help! ✌
Updated list✌🏾
Does anyone know if the OBD 11 stuff would void warranty
Nah, if you're unsure you can always switch whatever you changed to default.
These vids are dope
Great video! Just subscribe
There is a humming sound coming from my left front tire(mk 7 GTI) once I reach highway speeds. Any ideas on what could be causing this?
I’d guess wheel bearing
Better tires
Wheel bearings are SUPER COMMON with VW's!! My goodness i wonder just how many i have replaced through the years of owning one!!

If I get an aftermarket downpipe for my mk7.5 do I have to get a stage 2 tune right away or can I run it stock?
I use to run a dp on just a JB4 for the longest time. Had no problems
@@LucasHuang thanks man, I’m new to the VW world coming from moar and Chevy so really big help

Mine do the same exact thing, I think it’s nothin to worry about
would i need a tune if i install that drop in intake?
No way. Even with stock components you could get a stage 1 tune
Great video from from uk golf mk7 R owner 👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks 👍

Probably check the sunroof for cracks and leaks and then just do the basic liquids
@@LucasHuang tell him get dsg

Whatever I mentioned there’s probably a Jetta version but also a lot of the stuff is the same for both cars
