Just finished installing BarkBusters on my TransAlp and then watching this afterward I had to laugh that you made the same mistake I did by initially putting the bow over the top of the clutch cable rather than underneath. Ended up rotating my handlebars up a little more as well for a little more clearance at full lock. One thing I saw that you omitted to mention is that the two spacers are slightly different lengths for under the bar end weights. IIRC one is 15mm and the other is 17mm, with the longer going on the throttle side to give a little more of a gap to prevent drag on the throttle grip.
Ahhh thanks for the remarks
A little tip for the BB's. Get the bar end extra weight made for these. It will calm vibrations a little. I felt a little extra vibe from these on my transalp. But went away with the extra weights. Just put my transalp back together. Winter modding. Tyres. Suspension. Cruisecontrol from mccruise and outex tubeless kit. Dont need any other bike than this.
Just ordered a set for my TA. They are on back order until February or March though.
Barkbusters?
@@TTorres1183yes, Barkbusters. I have a bunch of other accessories I have to install. I need to run some wiring first though.
In my instructions, with regards to your “wish” at the end. The plastic piece should have gone over the screw holes you left uncovered. The inside is secured by the big screw.
Thank you
@@TTorres1183 you bet. I just put mine on today. That was the one mod on mine that came with instructions. I wish the other parts had bc it took me a minute to figure out which guard and connector went on the left and which on the right. You did it a helluva lot faster than I did I’m sure. I’m also gonna have to add an extra washer bc my throttle was sticking. My temp fix was to just loosen the screw for now. But will get on that tomorrow.
Are you notice any vibration with this hanguards?
I would like to get the factory handguards from you for my 2024. It didnt come with any. I dont really need a barkbuster for where i ride.
Do you have FB or IG?
@TTorres1183 no, is that the only way this can happen?

What’s ur email?
How many handguards have you tested before settling for these as "the best"?
I have had givi and barkbusters. Love the barkbusters as they do protect the clutch and brake handle. Not only for offroad. Your bike can fall on a parking lot. My givis broke to lego pieces. And cost almost the same. Acerbis has a alternative. Not tried. But looks good and burly like the BB.
@@jkmayhem so these and one more. 👍 BBs are solid but their mounting on this bike means that if they rotate on a strong impact, they'll destroy the brake reservoir/line. I had this problem on another bike and I have avoided them for this reason since then. There's a huge array of options available and claiming these are "the best" feels quite rushed.
@@DragosStefan I am looking for a BB like solution for my Transalp. What would you recommend? Genuinely asking. Thank you.

Did you go under the cabling on the left side and through it on the right?
No soft pad between the grip and the handlebar? What an idiot engineer designed this.
When you disassemble it, there will be dents and scratches.
