Mahalo nui for this wonderful vignette of a time past and the rebirth of surfing with its subsequent spread worldwide as a great watersport.

Thankyou Wiki Beach Boys. Your influence has made surfing, what it has become. The late afternoon tubes, seeing the suiluet of sun through the lip of the wave. Again Thankyou.

@andhemills......Mickey Ioane, Abe Ke'ala, Cleyton Kua, Kawika Crowley, all wrote their parts for the infamous song known to day as Hawai'i '78, then written as Hawai'i '77 in Hilo, Hi. Haunting song, yeah.

It's "Hawaii 1978". I think it was originally written by someone on the Big Island and popularized by the Makaha Sons and Brother IZ.

I would love to know who sings 'Waikiki is good enough for me' at the end. Thanks.
