I watch many gun related youtube videos every week and this is the best video I have seen in a long time - great job Rich and Bob. Welcome back Rich Wyatt!
Named my first son Colt after my these specific guns. They were the favorite guns of my late grandfather and his collection of Colt SAA's will be passed on though many generations of my family. Absolutely the coolest feeling, looking, most historic pistol out there. Can't beat it.
Hi Rich, I've just watched this episode and I loved Bob's history talk and explanations and I'm starting to like this format a lot and it is growing on me. Well done!
Josey Wales had no issue carrying his Walkers on the hip, 2 of them at that. :D I'm glad to see you guys are back. True American craftsmanship. Keep up the great work, can't wait for more episodes.
I knew this excellent channel would take off ! Tammy is loving her 5 day training class right now, Rich Wyatt is the best instructor in the USA. Tammy is running & gunning in the desert ! Awesome:)
Colt Single Action Army - probably the most beautiful handgun ever made in my opinion. Aesthetically beautiful as well as beautiful (as in FUN) to shoot! Of course I was raised on TV westerns which may account for my tastes. Naturally then to me the most beautiful rifle ever made was the Winchester 73.
Rich & Bob: Thanks gentlemen for the excellent video! I am sure I will be watching this video more then once because of all the great history you gentlemen talked about! You have some beautiful guns there. Thanks again. 🇺🇸🔫👍
Good video Rich. Glad you started the channel. My dad ordered a pair of Colt SAAs almost two years ago. Still waiting for them. He's getting impatient though. Can't say I blame him. Get your butts in gear, Colt! :) Keep 'em coming and I'll see you on the next one.
So glad to see the gunsmoke crew on the you tubes, thought your discovery show was awesome, Far better and more quality than some other gun docuseries that are out there, good luck hope you reach 1,000,000 subs
In 1873, a new Colt Peacemaker could be purchased for about the value of 1 ounce of gold. In 2014, a new Colt Peacemaker can still be purchased for about the value of 1 ounce of gold. The real value of the Peacemaker - and gold - has not really changed. It's the dollar that has lost value...
Lots of great westerns . Hard to pick my favorite. I just wanted to mention . You guys are pros , I am not . It would be helpful to many if caliber was mentioned ?? Enjoying your videos . Subscribe !
Rich, many thanks for showing me the set when I was there. I really like how this new series is working as it's interesting and informative. I hope you got the copies of the magazine that were sent to you and enjoyed them, (even though they are in Chinese).....Deryk, Combat King Monthly
Thanks for the video I thought it was great. Not many videos like this concerning colt. I find it hard as hell finding some colts like a P-1841 nickel 45 4 3/4 or a 01970cm special combat government , and no one know a thing about why many stores don't have Colts.
Glad to see such a great channel pop-up; this is the new TV. Also, great discussion on value and appreciation; money in the bank is dead invest the money in a multitude of things.
cool; I would consider my channel a PM channel. Where I take some of my money and buy coins often, ones that have collector value over time. I love guns and, wouldn't get rid of my Glock even if I could get my money back.
A guy I know picked up one from an outdoor store in my town for $1,000 got a letter from colt stating the gun was made in 1900 and it was chambered in 44 I went to the same store a few months later walked out with one made in 1963 for Arizona centennial.
In my opinion you guys missed a very important model- the 1851 Navy which was the genesis of the 1860 Army. In fact one of the best things about this video, and guns in general, is how those involved with them never know all they want to know about them which results in some lively exchanges of information and opinion.
Gunsmoke Guns TV I have the 1860 Army, unfortunately not an original but one produced by Colt in the 1970s. Neither an 1851 nor 1861 Navy graces my collection, so any hope you may have had of me sending you one is for naught. Come to think about it I don't figure you thought you would be getting one from me anyway, nice try though. ;-)
I love this new new channel Rich, It is similar to Iraqvetran's channel but it's better cos you guys are on it ;) it would be great to do ''Special Episodes'' and get Paige, Kurt and Renee on. Keep it up, massive fan
Thanks for the video. It had the information I needed to compare the Colt histories I have been reading. Keep up the good work. Have someone correct the spelling of your company name in the TH-cam title. It will look better.
Love productions involving the history of fire arms. Would it be possible to go through the service rifles by the US from the founding of the country to modern day? That may be too much for one video though. May have to break it in two, founding of the country to Civil War and after Civil War to present day. I love learning about Trap Doors, Krags, 1892's, 1903's Garrands, etc.. A video showing the chronological progression over time and how each rifle was an improvement over the one before would be fascinating. Would love to own one of each.
Gunsmoke Guns TV i know this is wrong video but those three guns (1911, the revolver and the lever action) whats in common is it the twist rate in barrel? Even if im too late to win id still very much like to know if im right
I bought mine Colt SAA 3rd gen. new as well back in early 2000's for $1000 bucks and I also had Bob Munden work on it for me b4 he passed away can't get any better than that which is priceless to me !!!
Point taken regarding the investment value of genuine Colts over Uberti clones, but don't the latter also have four clicks when you cock their hammers? They're virtually identical to the Colt SAA both on the inside and outside, unlike, say, the Ruger Vaquero, which is designed like their Blackhawk model internally and only resembles the Colt SAA externally.
I liked the American Guns program when they aired it on Discovery channel in Sweden, Bob you are my favorite you look like George Westinghouse XD but with a smaller mustache i am Eric from Sweden
Excuse me, but can you do a favor to some of us - your accent is sometimes hard to understand so can you add subtitles to your videos ? thanks in advance :)
Cover your ears darlin Why Ike what an ugly thing to say I guess the strain was to much for him to bear I suppose I'm deranged, but I'll just have to call You're friends might get me in a rush but not before I make your hear into a canoe Say when I'm your Huckleberry Some of my favorite lines from Tombstone! Hands down the best western ever.
I have are you batty which actually Versacold there was something wrong they send it to your birthday they reach tempted and it still has a horse them inside the frame that the black powder frame

Hi rich
I just bought a Colt saa 3 generation never fired for 1600.00 do u think I over spend
You never paid to much for a Colt you just bought it to soon.
I bought mine Colt SAA 3rd gen. new as well back in early 2000's for $1000 bucks and I also had Bob Munden work on it for me b4 he passed away can't get any better than that which is priceless to me !!!

have you got a henry lever gun
I liked the American Guns program when they aired it on Discovery channel in Sweden, Bob you are my favorite you look like George Westinghouse XD but with a smaller mustache i am Eric from Sweden
That is a handy mechanism, etc, etc, etc......
The Martin guitar has been made since 1833....pretty much the same
I cleaned my gun to your video. And dry fired it a bit!
gunsmoke was spelled wrong.
Tombstone, and Wyatt Earp with Kevin Costner is way better than the Open Range but Open Range is a great movie!!
Colt started in Paterson, NJ not Rhode Island.
More close ups on the guns. But great video
how much you think the Colt Bicentennial set worth ?
Depends on condition but they made alot of those.
how about a show on some of the modern hand guns
My next gun is a Colt SAA...just have to talk my wife into it! Lol
Love your show but ya gotta fix the title... Gunsomke Guns TV... LOL
The intro is far to long!
