- I get a lot of queries about what all modifications are done to my Skoda Laura VRS and what each mod does.
Recently I was at TinkerTown on MG Road, Delhi to adjust something on the car and decided to do a quick walkthru of the mods on the Tabahi...
Hopefully you all will like this video. I've tried to keep things as simple as possible without going into too much technical details of everything. Do add in the comments if you want me to make any videos going into the details of any of the modifications.

since 8 years ago. Tabahi was bought in 2012, built up over the years.

What's the mileage you are getting on this after all the tuning done ?
yoyo honey 11-13 if I drive normally.. if I go nuts it’s gonna be about 5-6

Hi ! I recently bought an old laura TSI, low on mileage.. have done only 42k kms and now i am thinking of doing some performance upgrades on it like R8 ignition coils, NGK plugs, Replacing brakes, Bilstein suspension kit, APR air intake system, and some braces and torsion bars. Can you please help me with providing appropriate budget and suggesting me with some good mechanic for the performance upgrades as i dont have any prior experience with skoda and i dont want my skoda to end up in wrong hands. Please reply
The suspension kit (shocks and springs) will cost you ~1L, the braces and torsion bars would be another 1L. APR intake will be give or take 50k, OEM brakes are good enough if your not upgrading your turbo, R8 coil pack and plugs are not required at stage 1 & 2, Stick to new OEM parts for these. Full exhaust is about 1.2-1.3L, Stage1/2 map is 45k.

@@tinokunnel On the Gen2 TSI engines (1.8/2.0) you don't need to. For the new Gen3 in the Octavia 5E you need to.

nope. Not this level of modifications.
Bro i have a octavia vrs 2006. I tuned to 180 bhp. And they changed my air filter. Now they put k@n typhoon air intake. But no intercooler. Is there any problem happen in future...
stock intercooler should be able to handle a Stage 1 tune.
What about the new VRS which was going for ECU update and other mods. ?

Yea, Harmonixx, Code6 both can do it.. prices during my build were lower, now its quite high.
prithwi bhaiya,I have planned to remap my polo TDi.Is it ok to go for around 140hp remap without changing the exhaust?I
you can but then with the 140hp map, you face heat issues. You will need an intercooler upgrade to keep temps in check.

It depends on the map that’s on the car
Make sure to do a compression test on the engine before buying

It’s a good box. Make sure the shift cables are in good shape in ur inspection

Yup, they are solid and offset for added caster. You can google for SuperPro LCA bushes for mk6 GTI
Hey Prithwi, I would much appreciate if you can reply back. 1. My Chevy magnum is running on stage 1+ from code6 with a claimed 190hp/420nm. Planning on getting a downpipe and magnaflow muffler. Should I necessarily have to get a stage2 map for these changes or the current map is sufficient? 2. Which one would you recommend as a budget performer Laura 1.8 TSI or Jetta 2.0 TDI? Thank you so much!
Amjath Khan don’t know much about that engine, but with a downpipe it’s important to get a stage 2 map. Otherwise the car will run poorly. The laura 1.8tsi any day is more fun than the Jetta TDi

Amjath Khan if that’s the case cat delete would cause black smoking..
@@PrithwiRay Yeah, it's already emitting black smoke on hard acceleration in 1,2 and 3rd gears which slows down as the speed increases. Should I expect even more black smoke on hard acceleration with decate downpipe? What if I go with only downpipe (with cat)? Interestingly Harmonixx told me that they can give me a smokeless stage 2 with 205hp/440nm. Maybe I should get them for stage 2. Any suggestions? Thanks again.
Very nice. I usually stick with APR. Although expensive its worth it. What map do you have on it? Im running APR stage 2 on mine at the moment i highly recomend
I'm on an APR map too. 3bar sensor custom map for the 1.8TSI

Globally this car was the Octavia Mk2. Only in India they sold it as the Laura as the older gen Octavia Mk1 was also being sold at the same time.

RS5 supercharged is north of 650hp, Octavia RS will have no chance..

Vrs is all about petrol. There's no Diesel option.
