Awesome vid/vlog Prithwi, looks like the TH-cam algo has a mind of it's own as it showed it in recommended videos after so long. Please could you kindly answer this question, please can u list the transmission mods you did, to put the power down to the road. Also when u sold the car did you sell it with the mods or did you convert it back to stock.
Sold it with all mods. Transmission has a quaife LSD, spec steel flywheel, spec stage 3+ clutch to begin with but had to move to a stage 5 riveted hub to be able to handle the torque. Got a Brembo metal clutch slave cylinder with the clutch delay valve removed from and a reinforced shift fork.

@@CroftVan I blew the diff on my original gearbox punching a whole in it. So had N1 engineering in Mumbai send me a spare gearbox and they installed the diff on it before hand. The spec clutch and the rest of the mods were installed at Autopsyche, along with a diesel geek sigma5 short shifter. Also we had to swap out the shifter mechanism along with the shift cables a couple of years ago as a lot of the plastics had melted or broken in the system.

What's rhe first thing you would do if you had the new VRS? Asking out of curiosity.
First thing is new rims and tires. 18inch with 245/40/18. Then we put an exhaust and do a stage 2 map. That is more than enough for the car.

I always take this video as an inspiration for my zen, sucessfullu producing to abour 1.2 ltr power and with 90+hp. Always have a hard time with clutch, brakes and shockers. Would take time. yes. You can get that power out of the car using a remap and a catless exhaust.

its quite expensive to mod those cars as parts are pretty limited and most vendors dont make power mods for them.

You didn't changed the pistons? Is the turbo a bolt on?
no. longblock is OEM. Turbo is bolt on but u need supporting mods to be able to extract max power.

Gimme a break @ 30 Lakhs, I hope you were being sarcastic because Laura Tsi's 2011 model onwards in good condition are available in the market for as low as 5Lakh rupees. Throw in an Apr stage three kit ( remap included ), Intercooler, brakes, suspension, wheels, tyres, all the other gizmo needed to get it up to say..300 whp and your bill won't be over 7 Lakhs, so in short for 12 Lakh Rupees you'd own a car that'd give germans thrice its price nightmares!
I was stating build cost of the whole car along with a NEW Car. Laura VRS was for about 16L ex showroom. APR Kit including ancillaries - 4L, BBK - 3.5L, Intercooler 1.2L, Suspension 1.2L Wheels and Tires - 1.1L, exhaust 1.1L, clutch+flywheel 0.8L etc etc... umm no way ur taking a used laura tsi and dumping 7L into it and getting to where this car is. U need atleast 14L+base car to get the it this far provided ur using new parts.
There are talkers and there are doe'rs ... all talk is easy, building something piece by piece isnt. Peace Bro!

Old Octy VRS has no chance against the TSI K04's. Better engine and gearbox on the Laura's. Only weight advantage is there with the Octy. Also Rajpaul Thomas has the 380hp Kit for the car. Don't know exactly how much he's putting out as the car has never been data logged. Should be a damn interesting drag for sure.. love that car!
