I don't wear make-up because it makes me so conscious. Not even in the sense of "oh do I look good", "what will people think of me". I mean I can literally feel where the make up is on my face. And I have a constant urge to wipe it off. Can't concentrate like that

I. NEVER. Wear make-up. I'm one year away from adulthood and I don't even wear mascara. I go outside totally natural, and no one says to me I should wear some make-up. (I even went through the four years of acne I had - still without make-up). Guess what. I found a love and he loves me for who I am. He loves me for totally being me. He loves me for not hiding who I am and what I really look like. I think more women should know that they don't need make-up to be beautiful!

i definitely wear it because i'm to some extent insecure and to some extent i enjoy the artistic process- i think the skin makeup though [for me] is definitely because i'm insecure about my acne, i'd love to just wear anything but foundation or concealer
I have the same problem. I despise having acne scarring and feel the desperate need to hide it to be taken seriously, especially as an adult. I also find myself a bit androgynous (I really wish I was feminine without makeup, ah genetics) I love creating depth with eyeshadow and a healthy flush with my-lips-but-better shades and a touch of blush. I'm insecure without makeup but the process is therapeutic and calming!

Acne is so hard to deal with, the depression, seclusion, isolation, fear that come along with acne is unbearable. If you don’t have acne then you don’t understand. This video would have been more real if they had chosen people that didn’t have perfect skin.

I saw a huge difference. I think she looks so much better/prettier without the makeup, imo. Kiwipan s. I have bushy and fast growing eyebrows and I know that eyebrows can grow SUPER QUICK. If I shave off half my eyebrow it'll go back to being how it was before about a couple weeks later, and when I don't pluck my eyebrows, I can see it well.
Her foundation makes her look a little odd.. I can't put my finger on it, but her skin definitely looks better without it. If she wants to fix the discoloration, she should just use concealer not the whole foundation.
As someone who use to wear makeup to cover her acne covered face and naturally really red face, this makes me sad that they didn't use someone with worse skin to show they're still beautiful. My boyfriend is the one who made me love me for me, he showed me I'm still beautiful even without makeup and my friends noticed I wasn't wearing it but they supported it. I use to do everything from foundation (the thickest kind you can get) to baking my face and eyes and eyebrows....everything. BUT my acne cleared up so much because I stopped using makeup. Makeup is a choice and it's fun to do, but for me now, I'm makeup free and it's all thanks to my loving and supportive boyfriend :)

I think if they had used some women with different types of skin problems, it would have been more realistic and helpful. Because there's not a minute when I'm not wearing makeup in public that I don't think people are judging me for my skin.
mssinger243 I feel you so damn much. I started applying makeup (foundation and lip gloss basically) to school and I got rid of that habit last year. After that, I noticed that my skin actually got better. I think it was actually a good practice but now I'm considering to start applying make up again as I don't have time for skin care routine and there are 3-4 acne scars here and there. I feel you're doing amazing though, more power to you girl!

My wife used to wear a lot of makeup to cover up her acne, but I guess she realized that I like her no matter what, so she doesn't put on so much makeup and her acne's got better too. It's an absolute win.
I don't understand why women think that not wearing make up to work is unprofessional or means you're not trying.....guys don't wear makeup to work (usually) so why is it unprofessional when women show up without face paint on? I feel this. Honestly. I remember when I worked at my first job, I was told I needed to wear makeup to look professional. As a woman.who hates makeup unless it's Christmas, I was so upset. Every single woman was told this, even underage girls. Not just by the boss, BUT by his wife too. Both men and women do it, and it's disgusting to ask women to wear makeup, especially in a non makeup related job. I'm not there to entertain. I'm there to take money and give people food. Well, you can imagine I told the big boss about it, and he was pissed. Months later, the manager and his wife were fired. I had long left by then but I'm glad to see the business running so much better.

I was insecure the first days, but after I felt like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders and I enjoyed it. Now going 4th month without daily make-up (I only wear it for special occasions) and I am loving it. I am focusing all my energy on improving my skin. Last time my skin looked so good was when I was 12!

I have the same problem. I despise having acne scarring and feel the desperate need to hide it to be taken seriously, especially as an adult. I also find myself a bit androgynous (I really wish I was feminine without makeup, ah genetics) I love creating depth with eyeshadow and a healthy flush with my-lips-but-better shades and a touch of blush. I'm insecure without makeup but the process is therapeutic and calming!

I saw a huge difference. I think she looks so much better/prettier without the makeup, imo. I don't care for makeup, so I know I do have a slight bias there; however, her energy level was better without the makeup, which isn't surprising, since makeup is damaging to the skin and doesn't let the skin breathe or get necessary sunlight.
I think it's partially down to her glasses as well. I know that I actually photograph a lot better when I'm wearing glasses than when I'm not.

Kiwipan s. I have bushy and fast growing eyebrows and I know that eyebrows can grow SUPER QUICK. If I shave off half my eyebrow it'll go back to being how it was before about a couple weeks later, and when I don't pluck my eyebrows, I can see it well.

As someone who use to wear makeup to cover her acne covered face and naturally really red face, this makes me sad that they didn't use someone with worse skin to show they're still beautiful. My boyfriend is the one who made me love me for me, he showed me I'm still beautiful even without makeup and my friends noticed I wasn't wearing it but they supported it. I use to do everything from foundation (the thickest kind you can get) to baking my face and eyes and eyebrows....everything. BUT my acne cleared up so much because I stopped using makeup. Makeup is a choice and it's fun to do, but for me now, I'm makeup free and it's all thanks to my loving and supportive boyfriend :)

I think if they had used some women with different types of skin problems, it would have been more realistic and helpful. Because there's not a minute when I'm not wearing makeup in public that I don't think people are judging me for my skin.
mssinger243 I feel you so damn much. I started applying makeup (foundation and lip gloss basically) to school and I got rid of that habit last year. After that, I noticed that my skin actually got better. I think it was actually a good practice but now I'm considering to start applying make up again as I don't have time for skin care routine and there are 3-4 acne scars here and there. I feel you're doing amazing though, more power to you girl!

My wife used to wear a lot of makeup to cover up her acne, but I guess she realized that I like her no matter what, so she doesn't put on so much makeup and her acne's got better too. It's an absolute win.
I don't understand why women think that not wearing make up to work is unprofessional or means you're not trying.....guys don't wear makeup to work (usually) so why is it unprofessional when women show up without face paint on? I feel this. Honestly. I remember when I worked at my first job, I was told I needed to wear makeup to look professional. As a woman.who hates makeup unless it's Christmas, I was so upset. Every single woman was told this, even underage girls. Not just by the boss, BUT by his wife too. Both men and women do it, and it's disgusting to ask women to wear makeup, especially in a non makeup related job. I'm not there to entertain. I'm there to take money and give people food. Well, you can imagine I told the big boss about it, and he was pissed. Months later, the manager and his wife were fired. I had long left by then but I'm glad to see the business running so much better.

I used to wear make-up every day for years as well, and then an esthetician told me to not to wear make-up for 3 days after the facial. I was insecure the first days, but after I felt like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders and I enjoyed it. Now going 4th month without daily make-up (I only wear it for special occasions) and I am loving it. I am focusing all my energy on improving my skin. Last time my skin looked so good was when I was 12!

Grace Wood girls think they don't look good without makeup cause they're used to wear it. I never use it and people don't even notice, and a lot of friends of mine who wear it look better without it.
Kiwipan s. maybe it is culture. here in Italy girls wear less makeup, and for me it is still too much, it seems fake , especially on eyebrows.
